Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Chesapeake, Virginia and am a Civil War history buff and a lover of old cemeteries. I love to travel around Virginia with my Labrador Retrievers, enjoy the solitude and taking pictures of the battlefields.

As far as the memorials that I post, most of them are not family members of mine but rather memorials that I found to be really impressive when I was strolling though a cemetery or family members of photo requests that I fulfilled who didn't already have a memorial established. If you would like me to transfer any of them, please let me know.

Anyone who wishes to use any of my photographs for non-commercial purposes has my permission. Also, if I have posted a memorial of a relative that you object to, please notify me and I will remove it.

Many thanks to all of you who have shared stories of your family with me. Every day that I volunteer is a history lesson for me and I cherish the many stories that you have shared.

Cathy Parker
Emily Elaine Parker grave
Hi, I appreciate my daughter being included but I would like to correct an error in her memorial. My husband (and Emily's father) is Michael L Parker who was born in 1958 and is very much alive. The Michael Parker that you have listed as her father was my husband's cousin but I never met him. I also noticed that my baby is listed under his findagrave memorial as his child, which is an error. Could you please correct this? Thank you.

Mary Larnard
Jake Dog

Thank you so much for taking this picture for me. Mary was my great grandmother. Three years ago I made a guick stop at Cypress Chapel to look for Lassiter surname. Larnard was her third husband. She was a midwife, and had a farm along White Marsh Rd. My great grandfather was Joseph Fletcher Lassiter. He was her second husband. Do you know of a Lassiter graveyard along Skettertown Rd? Also a Badger cemetary along White Marsh Rd. Amos Lassiter and Indiana Badger were my also my great grandparents.

Riddick Lassiter was Fletcher's father. Do not know where they are buried, probably a family cemetary. If you are ever out that way and find a Lassiter family cemetary let me know. I plan a trip to look maybe this year.

I appreciate your time spent, picture means a lot to me, as I am beginning to trace family history for my children.

RE: Martha Ann Lankford McClenny - Cedar Hill Cemetery
Hello Jake Dog,

Ahh, I thought it said on the stone she died in 1852 not born. I was hoping for the ??yrs, ??mo, ??dys on her stone to reveal when she was born as I have her being born in 1806, hence me looking for y,m,d. There are probably people closer to her than I and I would leave the transfer for someone else. I appreciate the offer though. We are related but distant, she is a wife of a husband of a half sister to the husband of my grandmother's 2nd great aunt. I try to follow lines until I am out of names or find someone important. I appreciate all you have done!

Thanks Again!

RE: Martha Ann Lankfornd McClenny - Cedar Hill Cemetery
Hello Jake Dog,

Thank you for doing that! I tried zooming the picture but it got messier the larger I went. I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Would you please add the description to her memorial? I would also appreciate that so anyone looking to figure out her birth can read the inscription.

Thanks Again!
