Phoebe Winans Place
Hi Louise,

Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I have corrected Phoebe's parents.
Her mother died the same year Phoebe was born, and is probably buried in New Jersey. Her father Jacob Winans died in Ohio. I have 5 wives listed for him in my database.

If you find any more mistakes, let me know.
Joan

Re: Joseph and Benjamin Holbert
Hi Louise,
My friend Beverly forwarded me your email in reference to Joseph Holbert, son of William & Mary Holbert as I am a more direct line then she is. Beverly researches mainly the Branning family but we share some distant Holbert Relatives as well. William and Mary are my 4th great grandparents. I was the one that created most of the Memorials in Findagrave for the Holbert Cemetery and Westcolang Burying Ground. Benjamin Holbert (Joseph's brother) is my 3rd GGr. Father. Hope to hear back from you.

1894 article
I got the 1894 article for Grace Lowell's death. I can't add to her site. 5 pictures are already there. If you can decide on which picture that maybe you can get Cox to delete I can upload the long article, "AUBURN MOURNS" The Accidental Drowning of Three of Her Best Young Ladies. Anyway, just let me know if you can make room or sponsor the site. It tells all about what happened and the funeral, how they were all buried side by side. This line was unusual, "The graves and outside coffins were lined with cotton batting and ivy, and everywhere hovered a peace and quiet, that appeared supernatural." I did add it to the other girl's site if you want to see and read it. Cora Johnson and Alice Seavey. Also there is a poem written by a classmate for all three.

Seth H Biles
I question that Seth was 21 when he died in 1872. He is listed as being only 1 year old in the 1870 census. If he was 21 at the time of his death, then he was born in 1851, which is Eliza's (his mother) birth year. Could you clarify this for me please?

Hi Louise,
I too am originally from the Stroudsburg Area but left 5 years ago for more peaceful pastures. Phoebe was my 5th Gr Grandmother and William Custard was my 4th gr,. Grandfather. I have been doing genealogy since 1986. recent medical problems have left me with a lot of spare time on my hands so I've been starting to fill in the tree. The Place family is on my mothers side. Her Great Grandfather William Cruver Married Mariah Place. William Custards Granddaughter Elizabeth Custard married a James Hoover who is my mothers Grandmother. I would be happy to share anything I have (not much in great detail) but it's available to you. If you have info on the Custards & Places I'd be glad to see it. It nice to talk to you and glad to know another family member!
Thank you,
Will Bush Sr.
