Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family since 1968 and have had the good fortune to talk to many family members that have long ago passed on to a better place. I just wish I could again have the pleasure of talking to them. I still have many questions that they could answer.

Please if you see any errors email me, or post a message-----Also if I have someone in your family listed that you would like to list yourself just let me know and I will transfer ownership to you. Or if you don't want a family member listed I will delete the listing if I made it, at your request.

RE: Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
If I could find something else to corroborate this, I will have a marker made for her some day.

RE: Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
That makes sense. James Smith Bell would have been her father-in-law. Why don't you post your photo on her page and add your reasoning in the caption. Maybe her marker broke and was removed over the years.

I don't think this is a recent photo because the grass looks brown. But I did speak several times with the owners of the cemetery and they were supposed to straighten James Smith Bell's marker. Do you know if it is straight yet?

From this photo, I take it that James' marker is the one on the far end to the left leaning forward.

Thanks so much.

Another mystery solved.

Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
Haven't corresponded in a while. Now that I have made the connection to her parents Elijah and Polly Johnson, and since her husband is buried there, it is likely that she is there too. Can you take a look sometime.

We Might Be Related!
This is your John and Sallie Nichols York son:

James Braxton York
Birth: 10 Aug 1824 - Knox County (Knox)
Death: 26 Sep 1906 - Knox County (Knox), Tennessee
Marriage: 27 Mar 1845 - Knox, Tennessee
Spouse: Lucinda Jackson

I am related to Braxton and Lucinda Jackson York. Braxton York was John and Sallie Nichols Jackson York's son!

Twinville Cemetery
Hi Bobby,

I think you hit the jackpot going to the Twinville Cemetery! All of those Nichols are related to me, and the Hansards and the Bridges are all related to me through the Nichols family. I am a distant cousin of this family, but the head of the family, Russell Nichols married Judith Jackson in 1844 in Knox County. I was researching their ancestral line for the past two years. Russell's son, William "Lee" Nichols married Mary Ann Havens in Knox, Tennessee, and their two sons, Charles and George Nichols, are both buried at Twinville Cemetery. I believe that William and Mary Ann Havens Nichols are buried there, but there probably aren't any headstones for them. They are also related to the Powell family.

I can't thank you enough! You are truly amazing to do all of this, and we might be related maybe through the Nichols or Yorks.

Katie :)

Twinville Cemetery
Thanks so much Bobby. I know I have plenty of relatives buried there too. I am thinking Powell Cemetery was probably Jett that they were referring too.

Thanks again,

I can't thank you enough for all of the transfers Bobby! I really appreciate you taking the time to look up all of the Powell family for me too.

Powell Cemetery and Twinville Cemetery

Have you ever heard of Powell Family Cemetery or Twinville Cemetery? I think they are near Powell, Tennessee. I was thinking Powell Family Cemetery might have been Jett Cemetery. Not the name of the cemetery, but maybe their family cemetery. Many of the Powells are buried in there, and on some of their death certificates its states family cemetery.
