Thank you! - Randy Harrison
|Randy Harrison||Thomas William Bacon|
I was wondering if I could copy two of your image for my genealogy file. With your permission, I would also like to post it on my genealogy FB page: "John Harrison Sarah Lovell" with the notation: Source: Rob Podiasek at Findagrave.com. The pictures are the grave markers for Thomas William Bacon and his wife Eva May Long. Thomas is related to me through his grandmother Ann Hood Harrison (married Thomas H. Bacon). Ann Hood Harrison descended from John Harrison and Sarah Lovell who emigrated to Nova Scotia from Yorkshire, England in 1774. Thanks! Randy Harrison, Truro Nova Scotia, Canada
|dzr130||Ebenezer Higgins grave marker|
Thanks for taking the photo of the marker. At least he has one, many civil war soldiers were buried as unknown.

Oops, now Lawrence and his wife Gertrude are now listed as spouse twice on each other's memorial. Their numbers are 114490453 and 114490472. Thanks for making the changes.

That's what the lady at the cemetery said also.
She recommended late spring..maybe. Lets hope it is there. I asked her it wasnt a military marker, what kind would be needed for the grave. She said a flat marker. I may order one thru govt, to assure his military service is noted.

|dzr130||RE: Ebenezer Higgins Grave at Oakland Cemetery|
i finally got around to calling Oakland Cemetery to verify Ebenezer Higgins marker. It is noted in their records as Eben Higgins. The staff told me it is a flat marker in block 64 lot 12 row A.
They did note that if it has not been visited, it may be overgrown or partially sunken. That applies for many of the older markers, not just his.
Thank you in advance!
p.s. they did advise that it be searched for in the spring.
