I am Hoosier, born and raised in Chandler, Indiana. I am currently living in Marion, Indiana. I am married and have a son and a daughter. I have been researching my family tree since I separated from the Navy in 2000. I am searching for the surnames, Maurer, Libbert, Harned, Branch, Trunck, and Will. I keep my updated family tree on Myheritage which is at 7000+ names at this time. |
If you have questions about any of the memorials I put up, feel free to contact me. My kids have been keeping me busy, so I have no problems transfering memorials.
I am not a stickler to the rules about not transfering a memorial because your not within the four generation rule, if you want a memorial that I manage, feel free to request a transfer.
While I remain copyright ownership on photos I take, you may use my photos in your personal family trees only.

Re your photo request. I just finished mowing this cemetery. It is the worse I have seen in terms of destroyed or toppled monuments. I have no idea whether it is due to vandalism, deer or topography. Dorothy may indeed be buried there, but unless someone does some major work on the stones, you will probably not get a photo. Sorry.

|Monica S.||Maurer to Horton|
Hi Eric! I have been working on a few branches of my husband's family tree. One connection between his Keppels and your Maurers was when Frances Maurer married Orville Horton. Are you acquainted with these folks? I am hoping that you will approve the slight spelling edits that I have submitted to you. Best, Monica
Please 'move' tombstone photo from memorial #33363158 (posted 29Jan2009)to memorial #33282344 (posted 3 days earlier).
(Edit posted requesting latter memorial deletion)

|Nancy (Hitchcock) Clewell||Memorial #64420963|
Roscoe Charles Clester's memorial has the wrong picture of the headstone. The picture that you added to the memorial is actually that of his parents. Could you removed the photo please? It is really confusing!
I rechecked, the answer appears to be yes.
|Lonnie Melton||Nancy Melton|
I made the connection to Nancy Melton. She was a sister to my great grandfather Jonathan Pickett Melton #104380773. As you know, she was married to William Hummel.
Her father and mother were William and Lee Ann (Hardin) Melton. I have a picture of Lee Ann Hardin.
|Lonnie Melton||RE: Nannie Nora Melton|
I can't make a connection with Nancy. I know she is buried alone in the Fellowshio Cemetery. My family knew Arvil before he passed. We are familiar with Arvil and Nora's descendents.
|Michael Gough||RE: Katherine Treppo Maurer (1851 - 1932) is Katherine Freppon.|
No, but her daughter married Anton Elpers and I am an Elper. My Grandmother's family were German-speakers from Gibson County, and I collect information about those families when a name pops up. Somewhere, the Freppon family popped up and I've been researching them. I am an Elpers, Macke, Meyer, Loeders, Wenning and Ruhoff from Gibson County. My Grandparents moved to the East side of Evansville and I attended Memorial and UofE.
Thanks for posting Simon and Katherine's burial information. It was helpful.
