PLEASE MAKE CORRECTIONS OFF OF THE 'EDIT' BUTTON ON THE MEMORIAL, DON'T MAKE ME CHASE IT DOWN. THERE HAS BEEN A RASH OF POSTING CORRECTIONS ON THIS PERSONAL PAGE.|
I began my interest in genealogy at about age 12 when I found interesting writings about previous generations of the family and I made copies for myself and kept them in a safe place because I thought it was fascinating. I still have those notes at age 68. I grew up in Wichita and San Antonio. Graduated high school in San Antonio.
I'm a Spec 5 Vietnam veteran married for 46 years with 3 children and 6 grand-children located in Wichita, Kansas.
I enjoy documenting graves so that others can find their kin easily and accurately. I'm grateful to those kind souls who have helped me in my research and am happy to return the favor. For every memorial I enter onto this site, that's another memorial that has a chance of getting into the right hands of family or friends.
Thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging and positive thoughts! I don't always have time to answer everyone back, but please know you too are appreciated.
Duplicates: It is never my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the SAC and let me know. Nicely, please. I'll be happy to remove it. Please don't create a duplicate of my memorials; I would rather you just ask for a transfer instead of creating a duplicate. I promise I won't grill you or make you prove your relationship to the deceased!
And for those that don't seem to get what a dupe is: If I enter a memorial on March 1st for Colby Smith and then someone else enters another memorial for the same Colby Smith on March 15th, the one entered on March 15th is the dupe, not mine.
Transfers: I will make transfers within Findagrave guidelines.
Photos: Please feel free to use any cemetery or grave photos I have posted on Findagrave for your personal use, public or private. For any photos of people, please contact me first. Some of them I have obtained permission to use from other sources and will need to run it by them first.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
Like so many other contributors, I've had to take my e-mail off my bio due to unsolicited, unwanted e-mails.
Thank you to findagrave member T.V.F.T.H. for allowing me to use the Duplicates and Photos language above.

I noticed that. About the E names. lol It could be that Elmer on the 1900 census was actually Elba. Because Annaliza and William were married in 1881, so it's possible I guess. Thanks Joe. If I find anymore out for sure I'll let you know.

Thanks for the memories of Ira. I really appreciate knowing them. Do you mind if I post them on Find A Grave and on my Ancestry account?
Is Clara Mae "Dolly" Schultz in your family?

How cool that his memory lives on through you! If I ever met him, I was too young to remember. I love looking at his picture though. He and my grandfather look so much alike!

Just wanted to let you know that I found a funeral brochure for Ira Hurst. I added it to his Find A Grave memorial. Thought you might want to know. Jane

since her husband is there?? I assume she would be with him. But I sent same message to the other contributor, so lets see what she finds. Thanks for getting back so soon. She shows up in both when I searched her name.

May I Post Pictures to my Teichgraeber Relatives Memorial that you have in your care?
Your No Dupe Policy..
I Diligently check to make sure I haven't Created Any Duplicates, it's happened to me a time or two, which I've Deleted when found..
But then you have Members like Dick Quenzer who claim to have created 27,235 Memorials or More, if you wonder who he is go to (Northumberland Memorial Park) in Stonington, Northumberland, Pennsylvania and Click on View All Interments...
Look at All of the Bogus Memorials he's Hiding there.
There's only one reason to sit on Shill Memorials and that's to Pirate someone else's Memorial with an "Earlier Creation Date. "
He has (6) Charlene's with No Last Names or Dates, (9) Myrl's the same way and probably countless others Dated 2012 All you do is Change the Cemetery and Names and you have a commodity.
My Point is.. I Know one day the potential Exists for someone to claim All or Any particular of my Memorials are Duplicates.
And That's a Shame.. Report it to Find A Grave.. Right!
