I've been working on my family tree for 30 years and findagrave has been a great help.
Most of my transcriptions were done pencil to paper, before digital cameras. Please let me know if I've made any errors in my transcriptions, I'll be happy to fix them.
Please don't ask me to make changes or corrections based on speculation. Unless I know the family history, I enter what I see on the grave marker, just as it is.
If you find I've made an entry for your family member, please request a transfer. I'll be more than happy to transfer them to you, if they're not my family. PLEASE request transfers through the EDIT tab on the memorial.
Please feel free to use the photos I've added.
Have a great day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~...~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One Final Gift by: D.H. Cramer
Scatter me not to the restless winds Nor toss my ashes to the sea. Remember now those years gone by When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times The family ties are shared. Don't leave my resting place unmarked As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift For all who came to see. A simple lasting proof that says I loved and you loved me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~...~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RE: Sarah Douglas Death Record Did I ever reply to this? thought I did but just in case the little voice in my head is correct that says maybe I didn't, here goes....all I have on their marriage is from the Kentucky Marriages at family search, not a certificate, John Douglas and Sarah E Burgan married in Anderson County Kentucky on 27 Jun 1880. John's previous wife Mary died in March 1880 of TB (1880 mortality schedule). Johns son with Mary, Charles, whom Sarah took care of during their marriage and after John's death is listed on the 1880 census as an "idiot"...he never married and never moved out so it must have been pretty severe. One of the other sons was listed as having brain freeze but went on to marry and have kids. John had a brother Grand, who was married to Mary's sister was also living with him in 1880. The sister also died of TB in Oct of previous year. The brother disappears between 80 and 1900...he may have also died of TB or other cause or remarried and moved away as John did. Sorry this is so late.
My fiance is Jesse Waldahl. We started trying to figure out his Family Tree. Carolous Stephensen Waldahl is Jesse's Great Great Grandfather. His Great Grandfather is Ingebrit Waldahl. His Grandfather is Ingwald Waldahl. Jesse's Father's name was Marvin Norman Waldahl. Marvin was born on July 29, 1949 and passed on March 2, 1997. Jesse has 5 siblings. No one has attempted a Family Tree. I need help with this. Any information you have on the Waldahl family would be greatly appreciated. Marvin's Father, Ingwald, was married to a Dorothy Bernice Davis on August 12, 1946. Her maiden name was Rosendahl. She disappeared. Before Marvin passed he wanted to find out as much info as he could on her. He found nothing.I have searched for days and hours. Nothing.Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance.
RE: Susan Doreen Boyer Thank you for submitting my sister's grave. I live 1500 miles away and probably will never get back to visit her grave in person. Now I can visit her virtually. Sending you a psychic hug! Thank you again.
RE: Sarah Douglas Death Record Thank you, I found her death info as well as many census that also follows her middle initial on the death record....not the marriage...All I have on the marriage is what I found online....and it is just a transcribed record. no visual was present. I am planning a trip to KY in spring.
Are they part of your family? I am 95% (and growing, not waning) sure that John is my 2nd great grandfather with his wife Mary Elizabeth.
Transfer requests Thank you for creating memorial pages for Hilmer N., Minnie & Eldred Johnson. Thanks also for your willingness to transfer these pages to me. It means a lot to me to be able to manage my family pages. :-) Blessings,
