Bio and Links
1. Edits and other changes.
I am usually delighted to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or obituaries or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
2. Transfers
I will transfer any memorial I have created on request except those for
a. my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries.
b. Nor will I transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. It is difficult to trust someone who is so concealed.
c. Nor will I transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
3. Photos
I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. No need to ask.

I am a retired Episcopal priest who has done genealogical work for her own family since 1990. I used to serve as a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer for Cottonwood County before that site closed. I'm still willing to do lookups. This is easy to do, as I live within a mile of the Courthouse and Historical Society. Or you can contact the Historical Society at They charge $10. per hour plus copying for research.

I am nearly done doing whole small cemeteries in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The five of us working on that have finished all but the two city cemeteries. If I have been able to post a photo on the front page of a cemetery in CC you will find my status notes in the caption. [Feb 2013] Working on Mountain Lake from photos & register and Lakeview from a list. I am also working on comprehensive postings for columbaria in Minnesota Episcopal churches.

My daughter thinks graving is a waste of time but I point out that it gets me out for a walk up and down "rows" in the cemetery. And a friend of hers pointed out that considering all the recent zombie movies it's good to remember this: It is far better to be looking for dead people than to have dead people looking for you! Enjoy!

You put a very nice picture on memorial 72690831 for Roy Russell Bever. Thank you. However, I do not know where the cemetery is, could you please let me know where he and his wife are buried?

Thank you very much.

Thank you for the recent email! I have added the info to her bio and I have submitted an edit and a note to Vincent's memorial to have him switched to Sarah Farnsworth. I am related to the Farnsworth's, are you? Thanks!

George BAIR - Greenlawn Cemetery
Richard Lybrook photographed Section 6, of Greenlawn but he originally posted his pictures under the name of Old German Baptist Cemetery for which no published indexing exists. The published indexing simply incorporates that section into Greenlawn Cemetery as Section 6. Lybrook has since apparently changed the name of Old German to Greenlawn and consequently many duplications now exist. I believe my picture to be of a higher quality and I made the effort to link George to his wife and daughter. I'm not aware that a merger is possible and am reluctant to simply delete the memorial I created even though it is the newer of the 2. Sorry for such a longwinded answer.

Claude Emeraon Adkins #130842389
Hello, Claude was a cousin to my grandfather. I am writing to let you know that the Claude Emerson Adkins buried at Arlington Cemetery and this one are the same person. I was totally confused the other day when I saw both memorials! So I did a little searching. in the 1930 Census, Laura and Claude were in Ray county, MO. (He is a dentist) in the 1940 Census they are in San Diego, CA. and Claude is a dentist in the Navy. Sharon born in 1938 was listed as being born in WA, probably Bremerton, Kitsap county, Navy town. It also lists they lived in Honolulu in 1935. All Navy places. Anyway, Laura's obit. states she left HI after WWII started moving to St. Paul. She married Paul Fischer in 1948 In South Dakota, both listed as Divorced. So sometime between 1940 and 1948 Claude and her were divorced. Where I do not know. I checked WA for the remarriage of Claude to Marion, but not here. Maybe HI, or CA. He died in Bremerton, WA while on active duty. Their is an interment record from the Navy with internment at Arlington Cemetery, VA. Jan 6, 1956.
Due to process of elimination, did Laura and him buy the vaults before they divorced and had them inscribed, and then when he died went ahead and put the date on it? Would the records show that the only one occupying that he isn't there? Anyway, I am asking to see if you might transfer Claude and Sharon to me. If not would you be able to put up some version of what I wrote in the notes column?
I am hoping to make it down to the State library within a few weeks and hope to see if there is an obit. for him. I live in Tacoma, WA.
If not I will see if I can locate someone to see if there might be one in the St.Cloud paper where his mother lived at the time. Thanks for all your work on the graves. when I retire, I am hoping to be able to do the same. Until then I am going through my relatives and getting them updated and connected when possible. Thanks again Gretchen Carey

(I tried to use the edit link, but all it would do is give me an error message).
