1. Edits and other changes.
I am usually delighted to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
2. Transfers
I will transfer any memorial I have created on request except those for
a. my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries.
b. Nor will I transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. It is difficult to trust someone who is so concealed.
c. Nor will I transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
3. Photos
I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. No need to ask.

I am a retired Episcopal priest who has done genealogical work for her own family since 1990. I used to serve as a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer for Cottonwood County before that site closed. I'm still willing to do lookups. This is easy to do, as I live within a mile of the Courthouse and Historical Society. Or you can contact the Historical Society at They charge $10. per hour plus copying for research.

I am nearly done doing whole small cemeteries in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The five of us working on that have finished all but the two city cemeteries. If I have been able to post a photo on the front page of a cemetery in CC you will find my status notes in the caption. [Feb 2013] Working on Mountain Lake from photos & register and Lakeview from a list. I am also working on comprehensive postings for columbaria in Minnesota Episcopal churches.

My daughter thought graving was a waste of time but I pointed out that it gets me out for a walk up and down "rows" in the cemetery. And a friend of hers pointed out that considering all the recent zombie movies it's good to remember this: It is far better to be looking for dead people than to have dead people looking for you! Enjoy!

Daisy M. Chapman
She was born Jan 13th 1894 Died April 6th 1937.
The marker is hard to read. but it says 1894 not 1895.

Is there any way to find out more about Daisy.
I think she may have been an orphan who was adopted by a distant relatives. Elijah and Sarah Chapman of Alexandria Minnesota. Elijah died in 1907 and Sarah passed in 1921. All of their natural children were born back in the 1870's and 1880's.
Thanks Marilla

RE: Ernest Neufeld in Mt. Lake Cemetery
I did submit an online photo request. His burial place, should you seek it, is just southeast of a white shed near the lake, by the curve or corner of the gravel path. All the markers in that area are flat.

RE: Oh, I forgot
Oh, no. what you have is fine. I'll keep it up. Mom may have gotten a military marker made. I'll have to ask her about that.

RE: Your father
I appreciate you watching out for the vets.. I was just curious how you found out about his death. I don't know how anyone would have know we might inter him at memorial gardens. We had him cremated and he's still in the tackle box awaiting for when mom goes and we can put them together. My grandfather had a plot left in memorial gardens and we'll probably put them there together.

RE: Adam Feil birthplace
Thanks. I do what I feel will help others. Do dislike adding too much as it discourages others
from documenting the info themselves. Mary

Ernest Neufeld in Mt. Lake Cemetery
Planning on attending the funeral of my uncle Ernie who just passed on April 13, and will be buried in the Mt. Lake cemetery, for which I noticed you have provided photos. I don't think there will be a permanent marker, yet, but I was wondering if you could keep an eye out in your cemetery wanderings for the eventual placement and photograph that.He was a pretty special guy. Thanks!

Martin Borseth

Thank you so much for posting the grave photo for Martin Borseth. This is exactly the individual I was seeking. It's especially important to get the ones who were killed in action.

Again, thank you.
