I was born in Richfield, Mn but moved to Calif when I was 3. I married my wife on Feb 14, 1987. After 18 years we moved to Minnesota because we wanted seasons and I was from there. We settled in Waterville when I learned that my GrGr Grandmother was one of the founders of the Baptist Church in 1860 and my Great Grandmother was an active member for about 70 years and my Grandmother for 10 years. I had such a large family in the early years that there are about 65 members in my tree buried in Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville. I have to mention my wife, who was born in California but was raised in West Texas after being given up for adoption in 1965 at 5 yrs old. After years of looking she found her mother in 2006. They have since become close. I learned from talking to her that my wife's maternal Grandfather was born in Richfield, Mn, the same place as I was born. How freeky is that? |
I will be happy to take any photos in the nearby cemeteries or transfer any memorials that I may have set up if they are relations of yours and not mine. I am happy to hear from you and do my best to answer any of your questions.

Hi! I just found the e-mail that you had fulfilled my photo request in my spam folder, of all places. But, when I went to his page, there was no photo. Would you mind re-adding it? Thank you so much@

|InMemory||RE: Donna Mae Pittman|
Unless I misunderstand, Find-A-Grave memorials are not supposed to be added if someone is living. Therefore I assumed she was deceased and requested a picture of her and her spouse James Edward Pittman. Looking at the picture of the stone on James Edward Pittman's Find A Grave memorial, it appears Donna Mae Pittman is not yet deceased.
What is your understanding about Find-A-Grave rules about memorials being added for someone who is still living?
I run in to it periodically. I don't care as long as there is a picture of the stone which makes it clear that they are living.

Thank you so much for your research on George & Charles Pittman. I requested that a note be added to each of the Find A Grave memorials showing your findings to assist others and minimize future photo requests. Thank you for going above and beyond to confirm with the cemetery

Would like permission to use the tombstone photo in my ancestry.com file...if allowed, how would you like photo credit given? Thank You!

|Kathy ||RE: Cliffor Beal|
Bob: The only reason I assumed Clifford is in Sakatah is because there is a Find A Grave site for him that someone set up. I will also ask around because I am in contact with Clifford's niece (her father was another of Oliver's children), and I'll see if she has any information on where he might be buried. Clifford died young and so it is possible he doesn't have a marker, I've learned that children were often marked with "Baby" or something similar; especially poorer families. Thanks for your help and if I come across any additional information, I'll let you know. Best regards, Kathy Ward

|Kathy ||RE: Beal family|
Bob: Thank you! I did find out that Clifford is Oliver's son but I know that doesn't necessarily mean their gravesites are near each other. Thank you for your hard work and for giving me permission to post the Beal pictures to my ancestry info. Best regards, Kathy Ward
