Bio and Links
Bio Photo Adding memorials is a great way to honor your family & get to know them better. My main goal is adding everyone buried in Lincoln County, WY & Harrison County, IN. Next projects will be Jasper County, MO & Bourbon County, KY & always adding my LOOMIS family from Essex, ENG, Tolland, CT & Grant County, KY & Pendleton County, KY. Probably, my most active line is the LONG line of Boone County, AR, Sevier County, TN & Ottawa County, OK. Spending time with friends & family on FindaGrave is very relaxing.
Stevens, Stephens, Loomis, Turner, Webster, Smilie, Smiley, Long, Kupp, Sargent, Sargeant, Plantagenet, Tudor, White, Longspee, Thurman, Boring, Swigirt, Kelley, Duffy, Smith, Bourbon, Grant, Maples, Atchley, Daugherty, Dougherty, Carter, Williams, Downes, Watson, etc.
And related families: Cash, Haggard, Welch, Bush, Hinckley, McCoknkie, Ashton, etc.

Carol, Thought I'd let you know that this is a duplicate memorial with 75313199. It would be great if you guys would combine your information. Is that a possibility?
Thanks, Ellen

Mary Stevens
There seems to be 2 memorials for Mary Stevens, yours was created first so you should ask them to delete theirs, here is the other memorial #46608583.

Thank you so much for posting my grandfather’s obituary. I learned several new things from it. I wonder if you could correct 2 typos when you have a chance?
His surviving daughter, Patricia Ann’s married name is Wendel, not Wendey.
Also, about 2/3rd’s of the way down, look for the word to the far left “mater’s” degree, should read “master’s” degree.
Again, this is an awesome work you are doing and I thank you with all my heart!

Duplicate memorial
Hi Carol,

I have noticed a duplicate memorial that you have added.

35350644 was added 3/30/2009 with no burial information. You then added 29770031 that has the burial information and this was added 9/12/2008.

May want to delete one of them.

Thanks Dianna

RE: STEVENS, Felix (G)
Dear Carol

I am building a family tree on Dr. Felix Stevens, trying to figure the whole thing out.

I did come across this info below which led me to believe the Emily or Emma that we assumed was a Stevens never married Felix and is in fact a Fuhrmann (Find A Grave Memorial# 13344517).

Thompson/Fuhrmann Family – by Laura Waddle

John and Amanda (Davis) Thompson were married in 1849 maybe in Harrison County, Indiana. Amanda was born 29 Jun 1831, the daughter of Henry Davis and Sarah Harbeson (Pennington). John and Amanda had a daughter, Emma born 13 May 1852, and evidently another daughter, Hester A. 1853-1870. John Thompson died 18 Apr 1862 in Harrison County, Indiana. Then Emma’s mother, Amanda 2nd married Henry Mathis Stevens in Dec 1864 in Harrison County, Indiana.

Henry Mathis Stevens had been 1st married to Emily Caroline Bell. They had 6 children; Felix Grundy Stevens born 2 March 1849 Spencer, Harrison County, Indiana and died 3 Apr 1925 in Kaney, Montgomery County, Kansas, Julia Ann 1850-1923, Mary Elizabeth 1851-1852, Sarah Jane 1852-1867, Emily Caroline 1857-1958 and John 1857-1857.

Henry Mathis Stevens and Amanda had at least 3 children, William, Alda who married Fred Frakes and Harvey, who died before he was two years old.

Emma, daughter of John and Amanda Thomson, was my great grandmother. It was known that she had a son named Craven Stevens, born out of wedlock when she was quite young. The story is that the father promised to marry her but then didn’t. Craven was raised by Emma’s mother, Amanda, as her own son. Emma later married my great grandfather, William Furhmann.

Right now this is all speculation but as soon as I can firm up my thoughts on this tree, I will be back in touch

Ben
