Update June 18, 2015: Due to health issues I have been slow since March. I'm caught up on ER's, but have not caught up with email requests. I'm getting to them, please be patient. |

Cemeteries are such unique places. I enjoy the beauty of sculptures, mausoleums and various items around the interred. The statuary, the iconic images, representative symbols, old rod iron fencing; it is all fascinating. From the most elaborate statue to the simply inscribed piece of wood.
There is so much mystery in a cemetery. Stories that are told and stories to wonder about and stories to find out about.
I am a 4th generation San Franciscan and have lived in Marin County for over three decades.
I enjoy taking photographs of the surroundings and capturing the beauty of the burial plot. I do my best to capture the entire tombstone in as pretty a shot as I can manage. I continually watch for seasonal changes or offerings to capture a better representation of the marker and view.
I spend a great deal of time in cemeteries; both physically and virtually. I photograph and document a select number of cemeteries in the counties of Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino as well as San Francisco and Colma.
I have finished photographing the following cemeteries in rural West Marin, Olema, Bolinas, Tomales Presbyterian, Tomales Catholic and Marshall. Have photographed B'nai Israel, Fernwood, Little Lake and Willits with continual visits for additions.
I also enjoy researching and adding histories, especially pre-1920's. Love the old West Marin ranching history and the Mendocino logging and nautical history. I enjoy perusing old newspapers and other documents to find people lost to each other and especially connecting orphaned baby memorials to their parents.
I generally stick to the counties I am familiar with as I know the geography, area history, etc. and even get to know which census years in a community are accurate or are error ridden.
Please do not send me full obits. If you want to take your time and edit out certain points, please do so, per policy.
I will not post the names of living individuals per policy.

Miles Thomas Sigler's siblings also died Sonoma County...Charles Edward Sigler died 1939, Mary Jane Sigler Judkins died in 1941. Any clues to find burial locations would be immensely appreciated!
Hello again, maybe there is a reason I landed on your memorials...I have been researching a family who lived and died in Plumas county and Sonoma County Calif. Since you obviously are very familiar with Sonoma I'm wondering if you might have any suggestions on how I might find burial locations for a Sigler family. I'm looking for Miles Thomas Sigler who died in 1925. Just in case you ever come upon this name, would you keep me in mind please? thanks very much!

I meant to add that is quite a special photo by the stone being swallowed by that giant old tree. Just out of curiosity, could you read the name on headstone?
is it a coincidence? I've had things like this happen before on findagrave. Hope you are feeling well now...you are certainly quick with edits and bios. thanks again!

Thank you for the transfer this morning. I appreciate your generosity. Special was finding the names, left to right, of the extended family of my Warner cousins in CA. Thanks again.
