Bio and Links
Bio Photo The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "
IF A MISTAKE IS FOUND PLEASE EMAIL ME,USING THE EDIT BUTTON ON THE MEMORIAL. This is very important which is why it is CAPITALIZED thank you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

David Neil
Patsy Ann Boslough Neil
Hi Barbara,

My name is David Neil and I am doing some family history. I am in search for relatives living in California. Patsy Ann Boslough Neil is buried in the Hillside Memorial Park. She was the wife to Kaye Edwin Neil. I was wondering if Kaye is still alive or has he been laid to rest? If he has passed can you confirm his death date and send a photo of his grave marker. If he is alive I wish to contact him. His father and my grandfather were brothers.

Any information on the Neil family would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes the cemetery keeps an obituary and maybe you could direct me as to how I can find out how to receive copies.

Thank you so much!

Andalusia Burdick Burton
Were there two Andalusia Burdicks?:

There are two "Find A Grave" records for Andalusia Burdick. One states she is the daughter of David Coon Burdick and Sarah Anderson and lists her siblings. The same also states she married Ely Cook and died in Michigan in 1874.

The other record cites her husband was Nathaniel T. Burton and that she died in New York in 1901. There is no mention of parents.

There are census records on Ancestry.com that infer that the first "Find A Grave" record has been incorrectly linked to the Andalusia (that married Ely Cook) to David Coon Burdick and Sarah Anderson. Putting it another way the information relative to the Coon Family is correct, but it does not apply to Andalusia Cook

David died in 1861 leaving Sarah as a widow. There is an 1875 New York State census for Tioga, Owego, New York that cites Sarah Burdick living with Nathaniel and Andalusia Burton and she is identified as his mother-in-law.

There is also an 1880 US Census for Tioga, Owego, New York that cites the same identification.

Sarah died about 1888. Her daughter was still alive in 1892 (well beyond the 1874 date cited in the initial "Find A Grave" record) and still married to Nathaniel as shown in the 1892 New York State Census for Tioga, Owego.

In searching Ancestry.com., I have not yet found a record for Andalusia Burdick Cook.

Ethel Jane Berry Lowe
Hello Barbara, I am the great granddaughter of Ethel Jane Berry Lowe that you created the FindAGrave website for, memorial # below in a Cemetery in New Zealand. Although her husband, Edwin George Lowe is buried in the Tirau Cemetery they can find no record of his wife Ethel Jane. Since she lived in Auckland and died there and was cremated at Waikumete Cemetery in Auckland I can not find where her ashes may have been scattered or buried. May I ask how you came to place her at the Tirau Cemetery? Many thanks as I would love to clear this up for my records.
Kind Regards, Mrs. Georgea Sharkey

Is this the Luke Baxter when was the artist?
If this is the same Luke, I knew him when I was a little girl.
