I love genealogy and am attempting to locate and link all of our family members and any others that I come across on findagrave.com. Also tryng to add photos, vital records, census records and any other family photos that someone might enjoy.|
I would like to thank all the people that have put my family on findagrave and have been kind enough to transfer my family memorials to me for management. Corrections are welcomed. Please use the edit tab on the memorial for suggestions.
If you copy pictures, markers or obituaries, etc. from my memorials, it is much appreciated and expected to include my memorial and findagrave name and number as the source.
We are the chosen. In each family there is one (or more) who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again. To tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes (hopefully) have at least one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves.

Barbara, You are welcome. After I dampened the headstone with water, I took a series of 8 photos over the period of time it was drying. Then at home I was able to pick out the most readable one. Glad that you were satisfied with the photo. Leon

|Judy Billips Durham||Stone Family|
Hello. It sounds like we are related by the Stone family. Julius Orlando Stone was my great-great grandfather, his son Fred my great grandfather and his daughter Opal Stone Billips my grandmother her son Eldon Warren Billips my father. I went to Stone family reunions with my grandmother as long as she went. She joked and said we are going to a rock festival.

I'm wondering if you know the reason George changed his name from Alfred. I'm related to him. You can message me at firstname.lastname@example.org
|Cynthia Gallagher||Sacramento Hospital Cemetary & Charles Hinckley|
Thank you for following through with information about the remains of Charles Hinckley (i.e., Charles Briggs Hinckley) (1865-1926). The UC Davis Medical Center moved the Sac Hospital plots in 1973 to St. Mary's Carholic Cemetary. Charles is my G Grandfather; therefore, I must search those grounds, which coincidentally are located nearby.
