A bit about me:|
I am a first-generation Californian and I reside in the northern portion of that state today. My ancestors, both paternal and maternal, were among the earliest founders of America.
One of my distant cousins, Edgar J. Bullard, once wrote, "To preserve details about our ancestors from wasting records and fast-decaying monuments is the privilege and the meed of those who compile family histories." He could not have said it any better and I couldn't agree with him more.
I have been conducting genealogical research on a serious level since 1994. I am a genealogist, a family historian, and an amateur prosopographer. Some folks here at Find a Grave will say that Find a Grave is not a genealogical tool. I say that it wasn't set up as such originally, but certainly it is a useful tool these days, whether they like it or don't. That said, I believe that memorials should contain accurate information. If I manage one that might need correction, just contact me and I'll fix it.
Unlike so many here at Find a Grave, I am not a memorial hoarder. I am always willing to transfer memorials for individuals that are not in my own family tree to someone else who is related to the deceased. You need not be within the four-generation direct line guideline for me to transfer a memorial to you, either.
I do not display my email address on my profile page in an attempt to avoid email address "harvesting bots". If you wish to send me a private message, however, please send email to elizabw.ca(AT)gmail.com - substitute the (AT) with an @ symbol.

|CNikosey||Hall Memorial 2|
front of marker was for Roxanna Talbot Wood, George and Ruth Hall. Back was for William EH Hall, Mary Louisa Hendrick, William H Hall. Side 1 was for the Tobey children, side 2 was for James Hall. That should give you all four sides. Of course, I don't think there is really a front or back and I can't remember who was facing the street. It's been a long time since I took that photo.

The other "side" of the marker was for Russell and Dorothy Tobey. Hope that helps.

Riverside Cemetery Find A Grave #55014042 for James F Hall b. 1862 d. 1927. I just saw the name and thought maybe it could be a match.

I am a distant cousin too and only through marriage. My first cousin 3x removed (Mary Louisa Hendrick) married William E. H. Hall.

I fixed Roxanna's memorial. It should not have read Roxanna Talbot Hall. She was noted on the stone as having been married to both men and since she was with the Hall's I mistook that for her second marriage. I fixed her surname and therefore edited her bio a little to reflect that. She is most likely buried in what appears a Hall plot because her children were Hall's and she is with them. FYI I never use the edit tab. I make all my corrections via email through Find A Grave. It is easier that way especially if I have questions about the info I am given. I will gladly correct any mistake as the memorials should be accurate. I also linked Roxanna to her son William E H Hall. His brother is also at Riverside, but I do not manage that memorial (I wanted to link them if I could). I did not contact the manager of that memorial as I thought maybe you had.

Are you related to the Hall's buried in Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk, CT? If so we are cousins.

|Anne Shurtleff Stevens||Columbia Masonic Cemetery|
I do mean to bombard you with edits, but I am on my last review before packaging up all the names and pictures. Whew. I should have made a note when we started all this. August? I have a lot of unanswered questions, where people are that have no stones, hopefully the people in Columbia can answer!! Wish me luck!

Thanks for the update for the memorial for Rachal. I have made the corrections and added her High School photo - She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant High School class of 1955. Happy to make that correction.

I think that the only way we are going to get Rachel's husbands in the correct order is if you will delete your link to the first husband, and let me link them both with dates from her memorial. I had linked her second husband from his memorial. I went in and deleted that link and linked through her memorial with the date, but the husbands are still not in the proper order.
