Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started find a grave 8 years ago. I enjoy helping people to learn more about their family history and Find a grave is a great resource in doing just that. I have also reunited the survived loved ones thru find a grave. I also feel its important for people to be able to have a place to come and remember their loved ones and where they can leave messages for them.

Lanore Kay Edman Sims.
Kristy, please accept our condolences on the passing of your mother. We know she will be greatly missed by you and your family. Please express our condolences to Jane, Ethel, Ruth, Jim, and Sue. Jerry called to let us know of her passing. She is now free of the pain and suffering that she endured these past several months. May she rest in peace and be long remembered for her love of family.

cole memorials

In responding to a photo request for Chris Adam Cole at the Arbovale, WV cemetery (a memorial you manage):

I could not find a memorial for his mother who is on the same stone. So, I generated one:

If you are family, I'd be glad to transfer ownership. In any case, you might want to add a link to Carolyn's memorial on Chris's. (Looks like I can't link mother-to-son.)

G.L. Dare - Harkins Cemetery

Harkins Cemetery --- Memorial# 36871648

I believe you have the wrong last name on this memorial. It should be G.L. Dailey, D-1894. You have G.L. Dare, D-1894.

If you got your data from the Wood County Library in the book "Wood County Cemetery Inscriptions" page 194 it is like this.(Scroll down to end of message)

I can see where yours eyes would just follow Dare down the page. I would have sent you a direct email with a copy of the page as an attachment but your email is not available.

There is a Gilbert Lee Dailey at Harkins but this infant died in 1944.
Someone else posted his memorial.

Thanks Kristy,
Jeff Smith

Richard Dean Archer

I noticed your virtual cemetery for Parkersburg South. I believe Dean went there. He married my cousin.

RE: brian lockhart
So you and I have connections through the Caplinger/Sams lines and the Lockhart lines. I am a Lockhart.

Glad to know! Keep in touch!

RE: ancestry
Thanks... in addition to working on the family tree, I am trying to see if anyone in the family has any Civil War related material or memorabilia. My wife and I just spent a weekend grave hunting in Doddridge and Harrison County and found many Swiger graves. Although your grandmother was adopted, she was family and may have passed something along. Any way, thanks for the followup. If you or your family have any information, let me know. Dennis Kellison

Hi Kristy, my name is Dennis Kellison and I am doing research on the Swiger family. Can I ask if your are the referred to in the obituary of Robert Larry Horton. If so, how are you related to Mr. Horton. My research on my family part of it at least...has Robert Larry Horton as the son of Leafy Swiger Horton who was married to Robert O. Horton. Leafy was the daughter of Everette Earl Swiger. I can go back as far as 1730-50 if you are interested.
My email is: I hope you are able to respond.

I assume the Roberta referred to as a daughter married someone named Gaskins.
