If you would like a transfer just send me a request via the "suggestion" tab. |
I took some horrible pictures with a new camera and will include them, but if you can provide a better one, please let me know so I can delete mine
If you send an edit, please do not use someone's family tree as proof. I've found folks will often make incorrect assumptions and someone else will come along and believe that assumption has been verified.
I don't need or require proof as some folks do, but will usually check
Thank you for all you do on FAG.

|DBT||Re: memorial #80852116|
You have suggested that this is a duplicate memorial. Could you please provide the memorial number of the "original" one.

|4th Michigan Infantry||Catherine Degolyer memorial|
I have reason to believe that Catherine DeGolyer (#151572598), a memorial you manage, is probably the mother of a Michigan Civil War hero, Major Samuel DeGolyer (#74996685). If you wish to investigate it and find that it's true, contact me and I will send along a photo of her that came from a grandaughter's photo album (Kate Degolyer #22199123).

Thank you so much for transferring the memorial to me. I have deleted the one I made and added the information to yours. I will add information if more becomes available. Gloria

|Jim Liles||RE: Laredo|
I not really back taking pictures. I am down here for Veteran's Day. A friend of mine died a year ago and I added his memorial and photo. I am going thru the Cemetery data base up until, and searching birth and death date from my ancestry account. I feel it is important to have all the information possible for the memorials. When I get done with the database, I will try and see what else I can do. I don't get down very ofter, only on special occasions. If I can be of any help to you, please let me know.

Deleted, thank you.

According to the Albany Common Council the above monument was in the Methodist Episcopal Church area of the church grounds. The tall marble blocks are like corner stones for the churches. They can easily be overlooked.
|Robert Pond||RE: James Herrington|
I just saw your message on a whim. James Herrington had four children alive at the time of his death: John T. Herrington, Hannah Beadle (wife of George), Margaret Hurd (wife of Ambrose), and Mary Hanson (wife of David). There are a few records of the children handling his land shortly after his death. For instance, here's a deed of them selling land in Half Moon:
Here's a deed of them buying back land that had previously belonged to their father (his name is explicitly mentioned): https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89WC-G8QX
And another deed of them selling land which formerly belonged to James Herrington:
A description of James Herrington's family can be found here (although it is spelled Harrington; search for Hurd and you'll get to his entry):
It mentions a partitioning deed which I could not find on short notice.
Would you please consider transferring Andres Gonzalez 50272653 to me. He is my husband's stepfather, but the only father he ever really knew. Thank you for your consideration. Kimberly Soto
