I have been interested in Genealogy for quite a few years. I stumbled upon Find A Grave when I was using Ancestry.com and decided that this was something I would enjoy doing. So, my latest hobby was born. I enjoy going to cemeteries and taking photos to upload to this site. Others have done the same for me. It means the world to me to be able to see the grave sites of those who came before me.
Through research I have discovered that about 17 or so generations back on my father's side, I have 2 Princes of Wales and a King of Wales in my lineage.
Recently I connected with a distant cousin through this site and was able to find out some amazing things about my father's family.
I am researching the Ross family of Shubert, Nebraska primarily. I am also interested in the Parent family of Ascension Parish, Louisiana as well.
We are the chosen. In each family there is one (or more) who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again. To tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes (hopefully) have at least one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves.

Hi Joy, I am Anne Clayton, Bill Clayton's wife. Bill and you may share the ancestor, Mary Ann Thomas, but I do most of the work and posting. If you have an ancestry account, you can view there, so let me know if you do; or you can contact me directly at email@example.com
We'll be happy to help you if we can; Bill is really organized with his notes, so we may have some things that you do not, and you also may have some things of interest to us.
Best regards, Anne

I tried finding him today but was unsuccessful. I will attempt again this week. If you could call Garden Of Memories and find more specific location information, that would definitely help. They do not have a computerized database. it's all in handwritten logs.
