I got hooked on genealogy in the early 1990's & have been obsessed with it ever since. My husband joined SAR & I followed into DAR. Now I belong to Colonial Dames of the 17th Century & am Vice Regent of my DAR. I am currently serving as Pres. of a Daughters of the Union Veterans Tent out of Kerrville TX.|
My husband & I moved to TX in late 2004, he is semi retired. We live in the "Hill Country of TX" and I love it.
I was born in OH, moved to Phoenix, AZ at age 3 & stayed in AZ until we moved to TX.
Had a fruitful career selling commercial property & casualty insurance for 30 years, bought a small pack & ship store and ran it for 10 years before finally retiring. With retirement I discovered genealogy & have been going strong on it ever since.
If anyone needs assistance on the lines that I have on my webpage, please contact me, I am more than willing to share information.

if you can call Crown Hill Trumbull County OH and get section and plot # I will try to get your photo. The cemetery wants to charge me $5.00 per name for that info since I'm not related.
|Honoring our ancestors||Harmony Cemetery|
Can you tell me if this is also called Mount Harmony Cemetery?
|FamTreeHunter||Harmony Cemetery Photo|
The photo you posted back in '08 for Harmony Cemetery was posted on the pg for the Harmony in Belmont Co. (about 4 mi. outside of Barnesville), however, I've been to that cem. that photo is NOT of THAT Harmony Cemetery.
(As a 'guide'/confirmation of misplacement for you...the 2 pix that Rick posted of this cem. are correctly placed.)
I THINK the photo is of Harmony Cemetery in Beallsville, OH b/c in the foreground is a marker for Joshua & Sarah Keyser & Joshua died in 1936 & the death rec. says "Burial: Beallsville" & Beallsville is about 18 mi. from Barnesville.
Also, consequently, the Thornberry ppl you have placed as being in the one in Belmont Co. are also incorrectly placed & are most likely in the one in Beallsville.
Here is where you have it.:
Here is where I THINK (although I've never been to the following one...only to the one in Belmont Co., OH) it should be.:
|Joyce Tinsley||RE: Daniel & Ann McCormack|
I descend from Daniel & Ann thru their daughter Margaret #73176311 & Abraham Estes #70428463, then thru their son John Estes #70426928 & Nancy Berry #70427158, then thru their daughter Elizabeth Estes #70328719 & William Tinsley #70327778, then thru their son William Mose Tinsley #70327033 & Jennie Smith #70333877, then my parents Leilus Tinsley #70349004 & Florence Delk #70352132.
I wasn't sure where Margaret was buried but since she died before her father and many years before her husband I put her at McCormacks in stead of Estes (Graveyard) Cemetery. There are so many unidentified graves & markers at both cemeteries that one has to rely on family tradition most of the time. I've been researching old newspapers for clues to burials but there are none for Lincoln County that far back for Margaret "Peggy" McCormack Estes.
I moved back to the Cincinnati area last year and made a trip to Casey County to visit my cousins but didn't have time to visit cemeteries. Maybe my next trip I can stay longer.
|Joyce Tinsley||RE: Daniel & Ann McCormack|
Daniel & Ann are my 3rd great grandparents and I was jusy letting you know what Lincoln County, Kentucky has recorded so maybe you should contact them and let them know they are in error.
The cemetery I was talking about has the historical marker there about Daniel McCormack and people have walked through it and recorded the info from the headstones and taken pictures of the headstones. I am familiar with the history of the cemetery and the church also.
I'm sorry if I offended you.
|Joyce Tinsley||Daniel & Ann McCormack|
Daniel McCormack #27234106 and his wife Ann #27234186 are buried at McCormack Church Cemetery and not McCormack Cemetery. I just added the McCormack Church Cemetery and it refused to let me add it unless I added a city. I put Stanford because I think that's the closest. I checked with kykinfolk.com for Lincoln County, Kentucky and they have McCormack Cemetery at a different location (on someone's farm) than the McCormack Church cemetery and the photos of the McCormack's are at the McCormack Church Cemetery.
Oops! On the previous message.
Sidney Stoner, memorial #5606364, in Seneca Cemetery, Newton, Missouri. has an incorrect photo. Please check and see if you agree with me. Maybe you can remove photo. Thanks.

If you are related to Jacob & Sarah, there were two other names on that stone; Mina Miles & Jacob Hockersmith.. don't know how they are related.
