I have been retired for about a year (2008)now but not of my choice Wall Street sucked the heart out of this country and most of the world but I enjoyed over 45 years working as a civil engineer on many Military and Civilian projects. In retirement I began to go look over my parents Photo Albums and Shoe boxes and began my second career as a Genealogist and as a result of my research realized there was very little free information on burial records available on the internet. I was searching for my famous uncle Jack Burns and discover his Memorial on "Find a Grave". I was thrilled at my discovery and immediately joined the site and added my father and mother memorials. I also added some of our family photo of Jack at his memorial. I live just outside Boston, MA and I am looking forward to helping out other people find their love one grave site.|

I attended church with Norman and his wife in El Paso. Most Wednesday nights we sat at the same table for Wednesday night supper and prayer service. He was not her first husband. Joanna's first husband was from Mississippi, my home state. So that is how we first made a friendship. But we always had intersting conversations. Norman was very quiet and let Joanna take the lead many times. But if I asked him questions about his life and previous work he would open up and asnwer gladly. They had some health priblems and I will be glad to shar some personal things with you about his last few years but i dont feel comfortable doing it here. Email me on my oersonal email if you like. firstname.lastname@example.org

TY for the lovely pic and for the edit material on Sara. I have a Kimbrough connection, but no info on the Dodges and it appears they are a primary interest for you! Would you like me to transfer Sara to you in case you have more to add? I have not even located her mother who I believe was a Frances Theodora. If you'd like to manage Sara just send a request and I will be very glad to transfer. The tombstone is in bad condition but is on my list to check for next photo trip so possibly I can place a better picture at that time. Thanks, Sandi

Have you connected with Norman Dodge, also a Find A Grave member (46853609).
He lives in Washington state and comes east to do genealogy research. He has loads of info on Dodge family members and knows of a website devoted to the family.

I came across an obit for Oldham Gates.
Will you add it to his memorial?
Christian Messenger - Wednesday, 07 June 1865 - Page 182 -
Oldham Gates -
Of Farmington, Wilmot, was called home on the 22nd day of May, 1865, at the age of 67 years, leaving a widow and a number of children, with numerous other relatives and friends, to mourn their loss, indeed, but to enjoy consolation from the assured hope of his gain. Brother Gates united with the Baptist Church many years ago, and continued to be an esteemed member of it to the close of his life. He was a man of prayer. His demeanor in his family, in the Church, and in the community, was remarkably upright, pacific, and kind. During his protracted illness the assiduous attentions of the widow now bereft, and the remarkable kindness of his grateful and affectionate children, of whom some came from Boston, Bridgewater, &c. to sympathize with him, and to promote his comfort, tended greatly to console and cheer him. He was enabled to endure his sufferings with much patience and fortitude; and his end may be truly said to have been “peace.” – Communicated by Rev. C. Tupper.

If there are memorials I have posted and you are a family member, just request a transfer and I'll be happy to do it. I'm not very active on Find A Grave now to I check in once in awhile.

I discovered 09 Dec 15 that you manage the grave information for Eliza A. Dodge Bridge.
She is my G-G-G- Aunt and her father (Isaac A) is my G-G-G- Grandfather.
I have a "brick wall" in tracking down Isaac's parents and his wife's parents. I also have very little information on Eliza and husband.
I even have contacted the Mt. Hope Cem., in Mattapan a couple years back to confirm her and her husbands (William) burials there...thy responded back that they had no record of burials for either. (I know Massachusetts death records that they are supposed to be in Mt. Hope and that cemetery records can be incomplete).
Can you confirm your Find A Grave data? Are you any relation to Eliz? As far as I can determine, Eliza had no children.
I live in Maryland and was born and raised in Mass.. I have been working on my genealogy for the past 40-45 years.
Appreciate any information you can add/confirm.
