Clara Margaret Oliver Bond
Hello -
My name is Paul Nelson and I am the Great-Grandson of Clara Bond.
Among Clara's 11 Children was Clara Angeline Bond who married Luther Mason Dye in 1917 (My Grandmother and Grandfather). They had two children: James Dye and Anna Ruth Dye (My Mother). Mom married Marshall Sherwood Nelson (Born ? - Died 1972) in 1947 and moved to California. They had 4 children total: Steven (Stillborn, 1947); Mark Allen Nelson (Born 1950, Died Mar. 2012); James Marshall Nelson (Born 1952 - now living in Maryland) and myself, Paul Erik Nelson (Born 1964 - Now living in Washington State). My Mom, Anna Ruth (Dye) Nelson re-married a man named Fred Wright and now goes by Anna Ruth Wright. She also lives here in Washington State and will turn 86 in November 2012.

headstone photo
Hello again Bill,
Just letting you know that I just uploaded the headstone photo for Martha Sweatman Bond Thomason from the Wise County Texas website. I asked for permission of course, but they told me they don't require permission...that everything including photos is free to use from their website. Find the links at the bottom of Martha's page if you'd like to search for more relatives who might be buried in Wise County...or possible headstone photos.

Someone randomly added a headstone photo to one of my pages recently...which is another wonderful surprise here.

RE: James B. Bond
Bill,

Good to hear from you too. I haven't done much family research over the last 5 years...life got too busy...I returned to college and finished my degree...so I have yet to look through everything you so kindly sent me...but certainly will.

It may not be kosher, but I decided today to switch out Martha's last name here to Bond, because using Bond instead of her 2nd married name will make it easier for her numerous descendants to search and find her here. I doubt many Bond or Sweatman family members are aware of her 2nd marriage. I included an explanation concerning this on her page (she had no children with her late-in-life 2nd husband) and a reference to the Thomason name as part of her name here.

I've noticed there is a virtual cemetery thing going on here now, but have not read how to do it yet. All I know is from what I figured out a few months ago...that you can easily use the numbers to enter parents and spouses for the pages you manage here, BUT if you want to link children to your people yet don't manage their pages, you have to ask the people here who do manage that child's page to do it for you (while also convincing them that you know what you are talking about - ha)...and usually they will or sometimes they'll transfer the page over to you to allow you to do it yourself.

Hey, I'll shoot you an email soon, so you'll have my email address again.

Take care,
Candice
