I am sort of the family historian. I've been researching my ancestors for a few years now. I think my Grandmother got me interested in the family's history. She would tell great stories. Made you want to know more about them. She is gone now and my Dad is the one telling the stories. One day, maybe it will be me telling the stories! I am 60 years old. Thinking about retiring . I have two children, three Grandchildren and a husband. I have worked with handicapped adults for going on 30 years. I live in a small rural town in up up up state New York.I would love to help anyone find what they need in my area. Essex county new york.

Do you have any of the siblings of Joseph? My husband's mom had a big family, and the other kids were: Josephine, Joey, Ralph, Suzi, Sarah, Adeline, and a few others. Josephine was born in 1909 or 1910. I am trying to find her family and parents.

She is my FIL's mother. She died in Florida where she had lived for 5 or 6 years and was buried in the family plot in Essex, NY. Sent a SAC for the edit. You can verify through SSDI if you need to.

Frederick Abair

I appreciate you linking Frederick Abair to his parents Joseph Abair and Virginia Laurion Abair. Unfortunately, due to a potential conflict with some of the descendants of Joseph and Virginia, I deleted their memorials from Find A Grave. I won't get into the specific circumstances, but I won't go near any of the ancestors of these people. I have also deleted the memorials of many others in St. Patrick Cemetery for the same reason. But that doesn't mean someone else can't photo their graves and create memorials for them. It's just not going to be me. I apologize for forgetting to notify you of this.

Thank you very much for the photo of his gravestone-looks like you had to dig for it! Your time and efforts are very much appreciated.

I changed the spelling of his last name to match the stone.

Take care.
