Bio and Links
Bio Photo My paternal families are Bronson, Roby, Wall and Ferguson.
My maternal families are Thomas, Evans, Weaver and Loomis.

Please feel free to use the tombstone pictures I take of your family for your personal use. Anyone could have walked into the cemetery and taken the picture. They are your family I just happened to be the person to take the picture. Please do not use my photos on Find A Grave. If you want me to place a photo on a memorial, just ask.

When sending me corrections please send some source that I can verify.
I receive too many suggestions that rely upon Ancestry and/or Familysearch family trees. I belong to Ancestry. Too many times I see people "Cut, copy and paste information" to their family trees. If you actually look at the sources cited you will find that many times they don't match up. I like to have at least two sources for verification, yours and mine.

It is interesting to look at the family trees and see my photos shown without any acknowledgement of where they acquired the photos.

Howard Weiman
Thank you for your contribution of the obituary for Howard Weiman's memorial. And thank you for the correction that you suggested regarding his exact date of death. Your contributions have been posted. My brother-in-law Arsa Weiman of Constableville is Howard's brother, and Howard's other brother, Roger Weiman, married a sister to my brother's wife (my sister-in-law), so I am very well acquainted with Howard's family. I'm 84 years old, and not directly related to Howard; so, if you have a personal interest, I would consider transferring it to you; or if not I might transfer it to one of the nephews and nieces that Howard and I have in common and who I keep in touch with. It was one of them who informed me by phone of Howard's passing.

Caroline Weiman Merriam Wood
Thank you for your suggestion on how to properly display the names of women with two or more marriages on Find A Grave. I've never been sure how to do that. I took your suggestion with Caroline Weiman Merriam Wood.

RE: Re: Oscar Ladue
I have his military records and did a military page on my Ancestry genealogy page but due to the way it is set up as you know I can't post it on Find A Grave.

Oscar Ladieu Residence was not listed; 20 years old. Enlisted on 3/18/1864 at Plattsburg, NY as a Private. On 4/9/1864 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 96th Infantry He was Killed on 5/15/1864 at Drewry's Bluff, VA Sources used by Historical Data Systems, Inc.: - New York: Report of the Adjutant-General./jdb

There seems to be a bit of a dispute as far as the date of death is concerned. I know it says the 16th but the records have it at 15 May 1864 which is what I have used and annotated with a comment. On Ancestry there is also a Death Record and a Pension Record that his Mom, my Aunt Matilda put in for. Hope this is of some help to you.

Wow! You have done some wonderful work! I've only been able to contribute a fraction so far! I was wondering if you would be interested in transferring some memorials to me? I didn't see the family name in your Bio, so wasn't sure if they were related to you or not. Specifically I am interested in the Petrie family in Lewis County NY in the Beaches Bridge and Lowville Rural Cemeteries. Many of them are several generations of grandparents and aunts and uncles. If you would like any further information, please let me know. Thanks!

RE: Re: Millers in St. Joseph
Diane. You are correct in that the father of both Leonard & George is Leonard J. Miller (memorial# 69516507).

However my records show that their mother is his first wife, Julia (Walz) Miller (Memorial# 69516502) not his second Catherine (Hornung) Miller (Memorial# 69516474).

I do not have any official proof of this, only the word of the cousins from New York. I will continue to research Leonard Jr. and George to see what I can uncover.

For the time being, please leave Catherine as their mother until I can find proof of the parentage.

Thanks for the additional data on George.

Can we correspond through email? My email address is on my profile.
