|Donna Romeyn||Joseph James|
Hi Betty, I have to let you know I am researching my daughter-in-law family. I have traced it back to Joseph James and have seen that you are the one that has contributed this information. I am not sure how or if you are related to the " James" family but I thought it was really coincidental that my new grand daughter that I am researching for is named( Hadley)
of Westport. Have located his wife and another child in Cambridge VT, along with his mother. Much is known about this family. His father was a RW soldier.

|Dwayne Crandall||Alden Crandall part 2|
Ah... I think I have my answer. Emma Gorton Crandall was divorced by the census date in 1910 and later (Oct) of that year married Ed Linsey.
|Dwayne Crandall||Alden Bradford Crandall|
I noticed in your bio you listed mother as Emma Lindsay; however, I have her as Emma Gorton. My reasoning is the name given on the marriage license as well as Alden being in a Gorton family in the 1910 census listed as a grandchild. I realize that Emma might have been earlier married to a man named Gorton. Do you have any definitive answer? Thanks for your work on find a grave. Dwayne
|Gemeniguy||Joseph Abair Jr.|
I appreciate you linking Joseph Abair, Jr. to his parents Joseph Abair and Virginia Laurion Abair. Unfortunately, due to a potential conflict with some of the descendants of Joseph and Virginia, I deleted their memorials from Find A Grave. I won't get into the specific circumstances, but I won't go near with a ten foot pole any of the ancestors of these people. I have also deleted the memorials of many others in St. Patrick Cemetery for the same reason, even though I can legally post photos of their graves, which I have in my possession. Again, sorry for doing this but I didn't want to deal with the descendants of these people. But that doesn't mean someone else can't photo the graves of their ancestors and create memorials for them. It's just not going to be me.

I don't have any information about this family. I did, however, find cemetery records for her parents and added them to Find a Grave. There should be church records for her birth, marriage & death somewhere. The only thing I can suggest is to contact the Lexington Historian or the Vedder Library in Coxsackie, NY. http://vedderlibrary.org

That would be fantastic Betty! Have replied via regular e-mail.
|Sharon Fulton||RE: Forsberg|
Thanks for permission re the photo. Just to be clear, I want to use both the Forsberg photo and the Decker photo. OK?
The connection is through Bertha Forsberg. 2nd cousin 2x removed. She was a Steckley and born in York Co, Ontario. Eventually her family moved to Manitoba, Canada where she married Henry Forsberg. Then they moved to British Columbia, Canada.
I think they ended up in Westport because that's where their daughter Blanche lived. She was a nurse who moved the US in the 1930s presumably for work.

thank you ... I will be placing a copy of the marriage record on Family Tree if you want to reference more information on the family can be found there under ID #KLBX-ZGV. Again, thanks for all you have done; I used so much of your entries to fill in gaps on this family! You are a treasure ...
