RE: John Mayo, son of James 1711
First, as to Nancy Mayo who married John S. Harbin & moved to Georgia.

I have not worked this line.

I believe that John S. Harbin is the son of Nathaniel Harbin (my 6x gr-uncle) who m. Sarah Parks.

Their son John S. Harbin married #1 Nancy Mayo, married #2 Margaret Lanier. John S. Harbin died about 1869 & buried Gwinnett Co Ga. I have no sources to substantiate this.

I don't have any other information on them.

RE: George Asa Franklin Herring Jr
The area that his plot is in was a clear grassy and smooth area. Doubtful there was a stone and I do not recall the cemetery card saying it had a stone either.

RE: DeMoss
Thanks for the message. The cemetary is about 50 min from where I live (which I didn't know we when moved out here from SoCal and Arizona), so have been there several times looking for the elusive DeMoss gravestone. Problem the names are pretty much gone on markers pre-1800. The tarp isn't always on there. I would love to be able to identify the grave location and trying to find some registry that would indicate the location. I have traced my DeMoss lineage back to this Louis DeMoss (and turns out my dad was a Louis) as I qualified for Sons of the Revolution. It has been a while since I have worked on family tree stuff but this is getting my juices going again. Greeting from VA.
