Benjamin Batts

I am the 5th-great-grandaughter of Benjamin Batts. I see where you added some information about the "Bell Witch". I googled it, and couldn't find anything mentioning Benjamin online. Could you tell me more?

Thank you,

Mary E Unknown at old Boiestown cemetery
Would you please add the following info to this entry. Mary E. (Elizabeth) maiden name was Bubar; born May 14, 1844; and add that she was the first wife of Christopher.

Christopher Whalen was my ggrandfather. He and his second wife Harriet Hovey are buried in St Joachim cemetery there in Boiestown.

If you are not in his direct line I would be happy to accept transfer of this grave, and that of their daughter Lizzie, both to whom I have attached a photo.

Thanks for noticing that I placed Tazewell County in Ohio instead of Illinois. I checked my reference and have it updated to Illinois.

I have received you e-mail about connecting Mary Cramer Keefer to her parents, I need to review it once I have a chance, very busy season.

RE: George Washington Dehority and Mary Draper (another daughter)
Back at ya. :-) Bolingbrook, IL. Born in Blue Island, IL; early residence in Harvey, IL and Chicago. Mostly grew up in Chicago Ridge, IL; post-military (most) of my adult life in DuPage and Will Counties. My lineage goes: George + Mary > Sarah Dehority + David Keefe > James Keefe + Mary Cramer > Mary Adelia Keefe > John Muller II (Dad) + Catherine Kavanagh (Mom) > yours truly. :-) My Mullers came over in 1870 and were mostly Blue Island and Dolton and Riverdale folk til the 1940s-1950s. Different branch. :-)

RE: George Washington Dehority and Mary Draper (another daughter)
Understood. George Washington Dehority and Mary M. Draper are our common ancestor. George is my 3rd great grandfather. I descend from George and Mary's daughter Sarah, who married one David Keefe; leading in a few generations of Keefes to my Dad's mother.

If you're referring to the Avery Draper who was the father/in-law of Mary M. Draper, then, I'm his 4th great-grandson, descended through Mary.
