I have been inactive on Find-a-Grave since February, 2012. On Feb. 2nd I was rushed into emergency surgery with only a 30 percent chance of making it. I was in the hospital for four months, finally getting back home in June. It has been a long recovery. I will be slow catching up, but I promise to answer every message!|
I am both a sixth-generation Texan and a sixth-generation descendant of early settlers of the Ozarks. I am now living in the Ozarks with my husband and daughter, both of whom enjoy grave-hunting with me! I have always loved to explore old cemeteries. It makes me feel as though, in a small way, I am close to early settlers and history-makers. To do that and at the same time help others find their ancestors is wonderful!

Memorial # 57766823 Paces Chapel Cemetery. You have posted a pic of James Wiley Pollock headstone to her memorial - if you wouldn't mind to remove it.
Thank you, Diana

I'm not sure if you are aware but you have added duplicate memorials in the War Eagle Cemetery for almost every person with the surname Blackburn. Please delete your duplicates. It is always a good idea to do a surname search in a cemetery before you add memorials :)
I have contacted the other contributors you have duplicated to make them aware of this
|Gwynne Smith||Catherine Harrison Crowson|
Hello: I am questioning your info on Catherine Harrison Crowson, #55730050, wife of William Miller Crowson on two points. The first point is that of her being daughter of Thomas Harrison and Elizabeth Hardison. Those two,Thomas Harrison and Elizabeth Hardison did not have any daughters according to my research. I could be wrong and have been in the past, but I have researched this pretty good and cannot find any proof of daughters for them. According to the William Crowson/Catherine Harrison Crowson bible her parents were Thomas Harrison and Elizabeth,but at this point Elizabeth's parents are unknown.
Point two: You have Elizabeth's death as Alabama. She died in Tull, Grant County, Arkansas. If you have some information as to the death being in Alabama, please let me know. Thanks for making these changes. Gwynne Smith

Hi Karen-I was glad to find this memorial. I am attempting to research this line to see if I am indeed related. I noticed it says "daughter Sarah died in infancy in Ohio." Can you tell me about that? I am thinking Sarah Eunice Woolsey Hall 1849-1895 is my gg-granddmother. I show she died in Morgan County, Ill. If you can shed any light on this I would appreciate it. Thanks!

|Ruth Howell||James K. Polk Perkins|
Please change information as follows:
James K. Polk Perkins had 7 sons and 5 daughters. He also had 3 stepsons and 2 stepdaughters.
He married his last wife, Mary Mamie Pearson Cannon on January 15, 1899 at Chargris in the Indian Territory (Now Carter County, OK.) They were my grandparents.
John Clarence Crowson's father was Moses Crowson and his mother was Martha Wood. Please change this.
|marijane presar||Nancy Williams|
I have been actively involved in researching my many ancestors for a number of years. Came across a link that mentioned your name.
I was wondering what proof you have that Nancy Williams is a direct descendent of Roger Williams. I show that she was born 1732 in Culpepper, Va. and died in Newberry, S.C. She married a Daniel Goggans. I have some data that her father was perhaps Paul Williams (1700-1765) and mother Martha ? (1690-1765).
Can you please help me. Thank you very much.

Hi, Karen. Thanks for publishing this information about my 5th great-grandfather. Are you and I related?
Can you point me to your source that indicates that the Jesse Moore who lived in Burke County, NC and who died in 1827 was the son of a "Rev. James [Moore] and Nancy Windsor Chambers?" The preponderance of information I have indicates that that particular Jesse Moore was the son of a John Moore and Judith Walker. I would like to consider all credible sources to draw my own conclusion.
I noticed that the dates on Elisha Chambers' headstone don't match the dates that are listed on the memorial. And the headstone on his wife's memorial appears to be his headstone. I would appreciate your help with this.

Maybe I'm nuts. But I need a favor please. I am finally noticing the dates of birth and death on this headstone are not for Elisha Chambers but for his wife, Nancy Johnson Moore. The dates that I have in my Tree in Ancestry for HER are 12/25/1786 - 8/27/1856 so those appear to be her dates on the headstone, not those of Elisha Chambers. So, I now think that this is the headstone for Elisha's wife and somehow with the crack in the headstone and the appearance of part of the face of the headstone rubbing off, that it likely only stated that she was the wife of Elijah Chambers and that her name and "wife of" are now missing. The question is where is his headstone? Would you please take another look or should I e-mail Find A Grave and ask them? Since a photo has already been taken, I don't think it works to click again for a photo request. Please advise. Thanks very very much. By the way, his dates are:
Birth 11 Mar 1780 in Maryland
Death 13 Mar 1860 in Osage, Benton, Arkansas
