Bio and Links
Bio Photo My paternal family moved to Washington State in the late 19th century from Ohio, Iowa, and Pennsylvania, while my maternal family came from Iowa and North Dakota (originally from Ireland) and Minnesota (from Germany).

I enjoy searching in these states for my relatives and their relatives and friends.

In real life I have been a librarian for over 30 years and a politician for 20, currently a port commissioner, and formerly a state legislator, a city councilman, and mayor.

Moak, Good, Mielke, Stender, and Redmond are some of the lines I follow.

I appreciate you letting me know I had made a duplicate memorial for Darrel. I have deleted one of them. I appreciate you takiing your time to let me know I had made a 'goof'.

Jacob Alder duplicate

Thank you for bringing the Jacob Alder duplicate to our attention. It has been removed and the stone photo put on the other memorial.

Thanks again for contacting us.

Hi Tom,

Nice to hear from you again. Thanks for submitting the obituary for LeRoy B. “Cougar” Smith. I've got it added to his memorial now.

Best regards,

I appreciate your keen eye, Mr. Moak. It is always nice to have a second look at things. I did not, however put the entry up there, that was an automatic deal from Find A Grave in making associations.

Evidently you didn't look at the difference in the two entries. One of them was entered by Annie Peek for another cemetery, upon whose sign Mr. Thayer's name appears. When contacted, she acknowledged her error in reporting she was a resident there since I could prove her existence at Satsop.

Many thanks for the obit. It's very good.
What is the name of the newspaper it came from?
What is the name of the day?
What is the date of the obit?
Thank you,

Notice that the place of his birth and the place
I show, don't agree.
I did a Google Earth search and found that Sand
Beach is NOT a wide spot in the road. So in order
to find the name of the county I used the nearest
This is the first time that the place of birth or
death is not in Find A Grave.
