I inherited by interest in genealogy from my mother, Doris Sue Spence Fontaine (Memorial # 83062091). Growing up, a Sunday afternoon ride through the country usually included a cemetery visit which I affectionately call a cemetery hop.|
A few years ago I decided to make her handwritten or typed pages into an electronic format after encouragement from family and friends. In many instances, she left behind clues for me to follow in my adventures today.
You are welcome to use any of the photos that have been posted to the memorials. I would appreciate if you would kindly give me credit for my efforts when using them.

My grandfather, Randolph Moore Kabrich did serve in the military during WWI, but I don't ever recall seeing a picture in uniform. I only know that he became very sick on the ship to Europe. I will ask my mother, and then her brother or sister if they know of any pictures.

|EAHJr||William Carr Allen|
I was notified that William Carr Allen and wife, Susan Sayers Morris Allen, are actually buried in the Millirons and Allen Families Cemetery in Pulaski, Va. These were created by the late Becky Sowers. There are already memorials for William and Susan Allen in that cemetery so Becky's are now duplicates. Please move your image of William and Susan's marriage certificate to the existing memorials in the Millirons and Allen Cemetery and I will delete the old ones. Thanks for all you do for Find a Grave!

Thanks for the quick reply! I am curious if you know about Malinda's son, John Raburn and his father? I would love to find out where he's buried. My mother in law remembers going there with her parents as a young girl. Besides it being in Pocahontas the only other details that she recalls about the cemetery were that there was a house in the midst of the graves, presumably where the cemetery caretakers lived. Not sure if you have any further info on any of that? Thanks for sharing!
|Penny Harris||Ollie Seagle|
Do you happen to know anything about her? She is buried in the West End Cemetery in Wytheville with a bunch of other Seagles. The Ollie Seagle I am looking for supposedly had the maiden name Nelson and was married to an O. Connel (or Connor) Seagle. Their daughter was Alma M. Seagle Hall (1908-1958) who was born in Alsonia, VA.

|morgan1201||Mary Ewald Mustard|
Mary Ewald Mustard and her husband Charles Henry Mustard were moved from Maple Park to the mausoleum at Monte Vista, as I told Sheila. I contacted Monte Vista to confirm. They are there with their daughter Carol Marie Mustard Elliott, my grandmother, and her husband Clyde and their son Edwin, my uncle, who is the person who made those arrangements. I don't know why the stone is still standing in Maple Park. The memorial is correct. I do appreciate your interest!

How have you solved the mystery? The tombstone is in Maple Park Cemetery, but another family member shes was moved to Monte Vista. The cemetery no longer has any records.
