I have had this happen only occasionally but it is kind of frustrating. If you have your messages disabled and your email address is not displayed - I can certainly understand the need for that. |
But if you send me additional information, requests, suggestions etc about memorials I manage, please include an email address so that I can respond. I have received emails where the sender was simply incorrect, or they weren't necessarily incorrect, but there were reasons for what I showed etc. It would be nice to be able to respond to the message. It is only courteous to give the other person the chance to respond. They might have information that you don't. Please don't expect me to just do what you ask if you aren't going to give me that courtesy.
I have been researching my genealogy for over 25 years and am totally addicted. I also work on my husband's lines. I am new to the Greensboro area, but will try to help however I can. I recently moved from Texas to North Carolina. I had lived in Texas all my life until last year's move. While I miss Texas, I love North Carolina too.
I will not transfer memorials for people that I am related to. However, if you send me additional information etc that you would like added, I will be happy to do that.
If I am not related to the person, I will be happy to honor transfer requests to relatives of the person in question. I like for the memorials to be in a relative's care.
When I fulfill a photo request, I normally keep all originals of my photos, which I will share by email if requested. My photos may be used and reposted for personal use and not for profit. I do appreciate when people credit me as the source, just as a courtesy.
Due to continued frustration with Yahoo, I am changing my email address from Yahoo to Gmail. I will be keeping the Yahoo address so if anyone contacts me there I will still get the messages, and they won't give my email address to someone else.

That would be just fine, Dee. I have had the same issue when I went to locate people. The tombstone is only listed with the nickname. Then again, some tombstones have put the birth name on and I have a difficult finding that person with the nickname. Go figure!!

Thanks for accepting the Morgan links!
Even though she was cremated, it doesn't mean that her ashes weren't interred in the cemetery. Or they were sprinkled somewhere and this stone is a cenotaph. One way or the other, since there is a stone she shouldn't be BU.

The information came from my mother and aunt, her sister. They were born Griffiths and related to the
Marshall's through Thomas Jefferson Marshall. Their grandmother was Retha Azlee Marshall Griffith. The family visited quite a bit during the girls younger years. Family was still living when we started doing genealogy during the 1980's, so this is where we got our information from. I have no paper documentation. The info came from my mother's grandmother.

You have a note on her memorial saying you wanted to confirm her death date, so I wanted to let you know that I uploaded pics of hers and her husband John's monument.

I am happy to transfer his memorial to you. I recall the sunny day I found his grave and the work with wisk broom and hand shovel to glean his dates...
Jean Colson added information to his biography and has been helpful with all the Ferris graves I have found

You're very welcome. My wife and I was married at Tidwell 24 years ago and are from Wolfe City.

Sorry, I screwed up and wrote the wrong name down in the previous message. I was unable to find the Lois Grave in the Ferris Lot. I searched our records and came up empty. I actually DID find the Mary Jane Branagan Ferris grave, and added pics to the find a grave page. Thanks, Dana.
