Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have worked on my family trees and others for over 30 years. My current interest is in Schoharie County NY history, more specifically the town of Summit where I live. I compiled, published and printed books on Schoharie County One Room Schoolhouses, The Schoharie Alps Town of Summit History, Murders and Funky Stuff in Schoharie County and Schoharie County Emergency Medical Services. If interested in purchasing any of them please let me know. My next book will be a compilation of Schoharie County Community Groups/Clubs/Lodges.
I got started taking pics of grave stones in looking for Civil War Veterans monuments. Now I take pics of any grave stones with an emphasis on all Veterans.
My goal is to preserve any piece of history I can get my hands on, particularly in light of how much was lost in our area during Huricanes Irene & Lee.

Hiram Every newspaper clipping
Thank you so much for posting the newspaper articles recounting the golden wedding anniversary festivities of Hiram and Hanna Every. They are my g.g. grandparents and those articles are new to our collection of family history. Thanks again!

White family
Thank you Karen for posting the photo of the gravestone of Alfred S White and Julia A (Snyder) White - this definitely adds information I was missing as I research my family tree.

My paternal great grandmother was Julia Ann (White) Jones (1845-1941), a direct descendant of Peregrine White, born just after the Mayflower landed in 1620. There's lots of information on the White lineage - and your's just added to it!

Karen, what a wonderful photo and in the middle of winter too. I am really impressed and want to thank you many times for finding this. And also for 'snapping' husband Benjamin's also. If I am remembering correctly from when I first put in the request almost 2 years ago someone told me that this is a very hard cemetery to find. You are amazing!
