I've been researching my family tree for many years, and my sister is the one who got me started (she did a high school project on genealogy). I decided to join Find A Grave as a contributor when I found a graveyard that was well off the beaten path, in the hopes of helping out some of the family members who didn't know the graves were there.

My family is from the Marion County, South Carolina area and Columbus and Brunswick Counties in North Carolina. My in-laws are from Tennessee and eastern and northern North Carolina.

Hi Katherine
You asked me about George Rose Cemetery. Could you remind me what county & state it is in. I research a lot of areas and can't place it.

I can't thank you enough for the photos of my ancestors' memorials! Joshua Ward is my great great great grandfather! I am so pleased to see their stones intact and readable. And now they are preserved forever. Thank you!

RE: Wahee/Wateree Cemetery (??)
You sent me a message previously about the Wateree Cemetery. I told you I would contact the Wahee Gun Club to see if they knew who placed the signs, when the signs were placed, and where did the Wateree Cemetery get its name. This is the reply I recieved. He left his number as well. If you would like the phone number please email me for it.

Wahee Gun Club reply...
"Sorry it took so long to get back in touch with you,yes we did place those signs the wateree cemetarey is on the marion county accessors map, the signs were pleced May of 2012"

Oh yeah...the sign is in plain sight so if it were there when you went you would have seen it.

The sign looks fairly new and probably was placed after your visit last year.I was there in Decemeber 2012. I believe that the Wahee Gun Club placed the signs. I have sent them an email through the gun club's website asking for any information they might have about the name of the cemetery. I will let you know if I hear back from them.
Peace and good health,
