I've been enjoying locating the tombstones of my ancestors, and near ancestors. Finding cousins in different areas of this wonderful country has been a bonus.(I just met with a third cousin in Iowa) I am a member of our local Genealogical Society and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lovely cemeteries.
RE: Burwell graves Masontown Cem I agree that seeing the markers re-forces the location. I started looking for my ancestors and found I missed some if I didn't do the entire cemetery. That is how all of this got started for me. Glad I filled in some possible unsure ones.
RE: Johann George Moyer I'm working on deleting one of the extra George Moyers that you mentioned. I'm waiting to get the photos approved to put on the memorial that is linked to other family members. Also, I don't see the duplicates for Catherine. Could you please send me the memorial numbers for the two Catherines, and I'll work on that too. Thanks again!
You are welcome. It was too cold today to have fun. I forgot about daylight savings time and was too early for a good photo of your Meyer request. The Morr photos are good and I hope to upload them tomorrow.--Storres
It looks like the weather is not getting nice this week. The Highland money is from Steve Poorman, a local entrepreneur, who will be buried at the top near the Soldier's Circle. The entrance arch has a plaque with his name installed since I took the photo. His money will go into a trust and will be used for maintenance of the cemetery. I found two Morrs in Millheim and will try to photograph them tomorrow.--Storres
