One Final Gift

Scatter me not to restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by....
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times....
The family ties we shared
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who come to see....
A single lasting proof that says
I loved....and you loved me.
by D. J. Kramer

Find A Grave volunteers have connected me
to family, and I count it a privilege
to help others connect with family or friends.

It saddens me when there is no headstone
or it's broken and illegible. I guess that's why I like the poem....everyone needs to be remembered.

RE:Katherine and Frank Matelski
Thanks for all your efforts -- was wondering how this is now best handled as I am guessing that despite the death cert saying they (well Katherine at least) was buried in Grafton that only leaves St Mary's and I find no references to there and am real sure there is no marker for them there. Had a feeling this was going to be a challenge why I gave them to you (other than they are not Noveske's ;-)

Again cannot thank you enough

Butternut Ridge Jackson & Hance Families
Hello Linda,

Thanks for all your time and efforts to fulfill my Jackson & Hance photo requests. Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave also as a photographer. Your photos show that you take the time to clean or clear headstones so that names and dates are clear. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank you so much for the photos of my Great Grandma head stone. I was 5 when she fell in my grandpa's bath tub ( her son Alvin) she did have a funeral at Dodge Funeral Home in Middleton, MI and then my dad (Alvin Jr) and Mr Dodge drove her to this place where she is buried. I remember it like it was yesterday but have never been there and would love to visit the grave. Honest I could never thank you enough. Cindy

You are correct. I missed her parents names in the obit. Thanks for adding her Mom's maiden name. Hope you enjoy the beautiful autumn weather and the holiday season ahead.

Thank you for the recent edits .... I wanted let you know that I incorporated both dates on her memorial because both can be found within the Hale transcripts.

Thank you for adding the photo and yes I do believe it to be 100 percent her headstone. She was cremated at St Louis Cremations and I guess buried back home in Ohio.

Keep up the good work
