Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am family tree nut who started out just wanting to get the Pentwater Cemetery done because I saw it was lacking. I was hooked fast! I love Findagrave. I found many missing pieces for my own family tree and I received notes from others saying my worked helped them solve theirs.

I don't mind transferring Memorials to family as long as they aren't my family too. All I ask is that you don't delete mine to replace with your own.

FYI- If you are one of the mass memorial creators who create a Memorial the moment it hits the newspapers and it places the grave as "unknown" and I come along and know the person personally because they are local and I put them in their correct cemetery, please dont be a jerk and tell me to delete my memorial just because you "had yours first" I dont mind transferring to family but if you have 10K memorials and you live across the state I am not going to delete my memorial just because you got your cart ahead of the horse. FAG is about creating memorials for our loved ones and to help others find burial information in the future..

Harvey Dolph
I haven't found one. His son Allen B. Dolph's death record says father name Stephen H Dolph, as his son was dead for this record and Harvey had a brother named Stephen. I don't believe this is correct. We will just have to keep a look out. he did not use one in any of the record I have found.

Potter's field
I thought about doing just that, Mandy....but it seemed more prudent to just delete it. I don't want to create problems with people and my virtual cemetery seemed to do just that. I do think that I'll complile a listing of the original Potter's field memorial and ask Dave Petersen to put that information in his online Mason County History web page.

Potter's field
I will definitely let you know if something happens with cleaning up that area. I hope to talk a walk in there sometime soon, and will keep my eye out for your relative's grave.

The concept of a Potter's grave is so unfamiliar to modern society. My grandmother told me once that she was always worried about ending up at the County Poor Farm after her husband died. With three young kids to raise, she worked her fingers to the bone making sure that didn't happen. There was so much shame associated with poverty..and by extension being buried in a Potter's field. I'm sorry that people had to feel like that.

Potter's Field
Thank you Manda. Somebody put a family member in the Potter's Field by accident, and it was upsetting to other family members. I decided to just delete the Potter's Field Cemetery to avoid people getting upset. My husband's grandfather, is buried in the woods, which is why I am interesting in it. There is a conversation going on in Vanished Ludington on Facebook, if you are interested in reading it about the Potter's Field

Wow you've posted some wonderful photos of my family! Where do you get them? Some of them my family doesn't even have!

Hi Manda:
I'm wondering where you are getting a lot of your information. I am a Hendrickson from Mason County and I am seeing some minor errors. How do we correct some of them?

Thank you,
