Born and raised in Northern Ohio. I got hooked on genealogy as a child listening to my Grandma tell stories about her family and my Grandpa's family. I started putting it all in a notebook as soon as I could write. That was over 50 years old now. Boy time can fly when you are having fun. |
I am very involved with the National Blue Family Association and the Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society.
I love taking walks in Old Cemeteries and taking pictures of interesting graves.
Please NOTE: I am not related to all the people that I have added or maintain at this website. I will try to help anyone that I can with information I may have relating to any of the memorials that I have added to this website.
IMPORTANT: I am happy to transfer memorials that I have listed to users if you have a family relationship closer than I have with the deceased. I am generally very accommodating and will bend over backwards to help you find your relative(s).
My personal guidelines in transferring memorials:
1) If you want a memorial transferred to you, please let me know in your first message to me. If you are related in anyway.. Just let me know. If you have a closer relationship than I do, I will be very happy to transfer the memorial.
I am more than happy to add information if you send it through the EDIT tab. Feel free to add family photos if you have them.
2) PLEASE DO NOT place information in a virtual flower! The chances of me seeing it, is slim to none. Use the EDIT tab and then use the "Suggest a Correction" link and do it there.
3) If you send me information for a memorial. I will check your information with the tools I have available to me. If you send me information Please tell me where you got it from. PLEASE - Do not send me any documents to me unless I request them.
From time from time will add memorials from resent obituaries. Please do not get upset. I will happily delete my memorial so that you may enter your own for your loved one. Just contact me.
Any pictures I have added may be used freely. But please do give me credit for taking them or adding the FAG. Thanks and I will try to do the same for those I use you have posted.
My families of interest:
Bitter - Blue - Devol - Lambert - Loebrich - Lambert -Lucas and their many branches.

You are so welcome. Many blessings!
I would like to have Anna Willis Snell Simmons transferred to me if at all possible. She is my father's mother, (my grandmother). Unfortunately she died when he was 11 years old.
Her parents are Theodore and Catherine Snell (not Sarah) Rudy Garver Simmons married her in 1916. He is not buried in this cemetery as he married Freda M. Henderson in 1938.

Was wondering if you know of any validation for Thomas's middle name.. There are two given. I guess I'm safe just putting just the "H". His dau. married into a member of my family. a descendant of Major General John Hammond, and John Gore Hammond of Morgan Co., Ohio. Thanks

The memorial for Richard A. Dyar states that he was born on Apr 17, 1866 -- but the image of the tomb stone clearly says Aug 17, 1866.

I cannot tell you how gratifying it is to reunite ancestors with kin! And your edits are most welcome and have been posted. Thank you for the information.
|Brad Campbell||Martha Knights Edit|
Thank you very much for the additional information on Martha Knights. I should have entered her maiden name from the info I had. I have to tell you I added these two Knights' because I was struck by their age and the deep feeling I got from their being together. Their burials are not listed in the official cemetery index, probably because the graves (or, maybe just the markers) were moved to their current resting place from an older cemetery, perhaps the Washington Street Cemetery in Painesville, where the city built Harvey High School after moving most of the remains.
I am hoping family will seek their memory on Find a Grave and ask to own the memorial. Again, thank you.

Thank you so much for your time and work on putting pictures and infomation on find-a-grave. I have been to the Wakeman Cemetery several times to visit the grave of my late husbands gr,gr,gr grandparents. Clinton was an orphan from NY and I have searched for years to find more info on him - parents, siblings, etc to no avail.
