|Randall Brown||RE: William Clark Adair|
I don't have any relatives in the Montpelier area. My great grandparents Abner and Amanda Brown and their sons were the last. However, I have some distant Brown cousins living in Bryan. My dad knew them, and he and I visited them back in the 1960s, but I have lost touch.
The Abner Brown home was across the road from the Heritage Cemetery west of Montpelier.
I don't know much about my Adair ancestors, but at ancestry, somebody has traced them way back generation to generation. A lot of family photos have come down to me via the sister of Anna (Van Buskirk) Adair. Her name was Emiline (Van Buskirk) Bordner. When Anna died, Emiline raised her baby, Dessie. When Dessie also died in childbirth, she also helped to raise my dad who called her "Grandma." She was really a great aunt to him.

Hi. I added a photo to the memorial of W. C. Adair. He is my great grandfather. I also added one for his first wife, Anna, that pictures them together.

|Nancy McEvoy||RE: Nancy Simpson Headstone Photo|
Hi Vickie--Albert Lewis Simpson was actually Nancy Metzgar Simpson's son. So, you can see--more discrepancies. Another son of William and Nancy Simpson is also buried in Riverside (at least according to his death certificate. That would be James Joseph Simpson (1856-1909). Anyway, this is probably way more information than you want to know; but again, I appreciate the photo of Nancy B's headstone. One of these days I'd really love to visit Riverside Cemetery in person.

Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph this headstone for me. Nancy Simpson was my great-great grandmother, and there are lots of questions about her. I've found her name as Nancy Jane and also as Nancy B. Her birth year vacillates between 1832 and 1834 on various records; and her death date goes back and forth between April 4 and April 7, 1915. I am sure, though, that this is the correct headstone; and I very much appreciate your contribution of the photo. Thanks again.
