Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history for 20+ years. Until recently all those listed here at Find-A-Grave under my name were related to me either by blood or marriage. Recently I added the names from a cemetery close to Oak Harbor in Ottawa County, Ohio called the Ottawa County Cemetery, also known as a Paupers Cemetery. I wanted to pay tribute to the people buried there that had nowhere else to go. If you are related to any of them, and wish to have them transferred to you, I would be honored to do so. I love family reunions!!! As for any images you may find on the memorial pages that I submitted, you are free to use them for genealogical purposes! Have a pretty day!!!

RE: Haynes/Carneal Family Cemetery
Wow that was quicker than I had expected. I took a break at my nephews house this evening and checked my ancestry records.

I found the death and marriage certificate for Atley Seaton Thomas. What a tragic loss. Atley is buried in the same Haynes/Carneal Family Cemetery in Spotsylvania County. He was married to Sandra Lee Hutchinson Thomas. Sandra Lee's mother was Audrey Haines Hutchinson (DOB 1930) who was the sister of William Haines and my uncle Ashby Haynes.

It may seem odd but there are Haynes and Haines who married, and ancestors of both families and family name spellings are buried in this cemetery.

In fact, William Haines and Ashby Haynes were brothers. William Haines followed the spelling of his father's lineage (Haines) while the doctor made a mistake on Uncle Ashby's birth certificate and took the name of the mother's lineage (Haynes). They did not realize it until he started first grade so he just kept that spelling. My Aunt who is Mildred Haynes and her children, my first cousins, still live in the Spotsylvania - Thornburg/Caroline County area.

They maintain the cemetery and clean it up in the spring and fall of each year. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want any more info. Take care, Lee

Tammy,

We are currently on the road in Texas, and won't be home for about another week. I am related to the Haynes through marriage, but have been updating a lot of info for my Aunt.

Let me take a look at my records then, and get with my Aunt who has a lot of Haynes family memories still. If you don't hear back from me by the 20th or so of Feb, please ding me again just to remind. I am certain that I won't forget, but we have a lot of miles to drive before I put my head back on my own pillow, so I would rather be reminded than to forget.

Take care, Lee

Thank you very much for updateing Olive's memorial.
I tried to edit her sister Joeephine's memorial but the creator declined my edits.
There are two John Perry's and two Amelia's and the children were all mixed up.
Again, thank you.

RE: Winchell/Conley/Finch Connection
I am building the tree and I'm glad to get the information on Lillian's parents. My cousin Tim who is Constance's son really didn't want me to go too far on her side as there was something about her mom marrying a Braun who was married when they started a relationship but I still want to continue.

Thanks for contacting me

Xavier Miller is part of my 'hobby' to identify burials of men who served in the 38th Ohio during the Civil War.

Tammy,

My pleasure. I love it when someone wants a memorial I created. My way of paying it forward.

I am a member of Tropico Gravers and it was me that transferred the others to you as well.

Respectfully yours,

James R Mason
