Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching some of the 36,000 + Army Air Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, of non-combat causes during the World War II era in service-related accidents. It is said that more
than 15,500 Army airmen were killed in airplane accidents between 1941 and 1946, within the borders of the U.S. and it's territories. They gave their all and died in the service of their country, but received no purple hearts and virtually no mention in the history books and have largely been forgotten by time.

I have taken photos of probably more than 10,000 names in the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines, but I do not have time to upload them. Anyone willing to volunteer to upload some of them is appreciated. If you would like to know some statistics about the cemetery, click on my photo I display here.

For corrections, additions, or requests for transfer of memorial, please use the Edit tab, and select Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Information to make any update requests. It is much easier to handle the issue this way, rather than a personal message.

I am happy to update any memorial, including family links. But I DO NOT like adding census information, copies of death certificates and please do not add long obituaries to the "photo" area. The information can be condensed and pasted into the bio area. If you don't have the time to type out the obituary, just email it to me. I will add it and give you credit for finding it.
I appreciate any information that can "round out" someone's bio.

Hi Tim, Julian was my uncle on my fathers side. I would love to know where you found the information about the crash that killed him. I've done internet research to no avail. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Betsi

Albert Standish Ford inscription photos
Tim,
Thank you very much for adding the inscription photos for Albert Standish Ford at the Manila American Cemetery listing. I've now deleted the 2010 headstone photos I took that were of his memorial plaque in the burial plot of his parents here in Fairfield, Iowa.

I appreciate your efforts to photograph the photos. Let me know how I can help - I suppose that special credit is needed to post photos you've taken. As long as there are memorials in place, I'd be willing to help you get your photos posted to the MAC listings.

Thank YOU
Thank You for your help and additions for http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=61480854 If I can do any more let me know. My Dad CB, also servered in the Army Air Corps on a B-24-J as a Navigator. He was shot down on their 13th mission over 'enemy occupied France'. 5 men in the crew were killed, 5 captured. My dad evaded capture and spent 70 days making it back to the American Lines. The work you are doing is amazing and so valuable to those whose stories have been lost. HAVE A GREAT DAY!! Sharon

How can I help upload your pics for Manila? I'm working on Maryland casualties in particular, but I can help with others also.
