|Nelson Harper||Lula/Rosa Allison|
Just in case you are interested in such things: My great aunts Lula and Rosa Allison, who died a few days apart in the 1918 epidemic, got the flu as a result of going to take care of their brother Russell, who contracted the flu at Camp Sherman in Chillicothe.The story that their brother Owen F Allison (my grandfather, 1901-1995) told - is: One of the two sisters had gone over to care for Russell, fell ill, and then the other sister went to take care of HER....All three of them died within ten days of each other. Since my great grandfather, Franklin Allison, was also the undertaker for Vinton County, he had to deal with his own three children all dying . My grandpa Owen said that their bodies were displayed in the big bay window of the house, to avoid people coming inside and risking infection.
Besides Owen F Allison as their brother, you also might want to know that the youngest of them - Ruth Allison Sullivan - was born in 1907, and her birth is what triggered their mother Christina Amanda Seitz Allison's death shortly thereafter. I knew Ruth a little, but lost track of her ages ago.
The link to Russell's findagrave is:

Hello, I would like to correct just a couple of things you have for Dorothea Susan Brown. I am her sister, and recently started on ancestry and saw it. I'm sure it must be her because you have her husband's name and place she was found. Her birthdate is Feb 5, 1954, instead of Feb 15. Her year of death is 1975 instead of 1974. Her burial is at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM, instead of in Gallup. I live several hundred miles from there, and have never been back, but I believe she still does not have a headstone, but I confirmed her records a few years ago with the cemetery.
Thank you for volunteering your time to do these.

Did you get the e-mail from Gar Watson regarding Earl Dufur and his family? I would like to keep my memorials but I'm open to what ever you would like to do.

|J Jenkins Byers||RE: Byers Family|
There is more than one line and someone else has been changing some pertinent information so I was attempting to correct as it should be. Didn't mean to confuse you. Sorry. I am from George Oscar Byers line to Clement Laird Byers and on down with Lillian B Byers as my paternal grandmother and her first born son is my deceased dad.
