Lang/Long Family Members I am wondering if you have any further family information on the Christoffel Lang/Long family members including his wife Elisabeth nee Kolb, Daniel Lang/Long, Emilia Lang/Long, Jonas Lang/Long and Levi Lang/Long. Christoffel and Elizabeth are my great, great, great, great grandparents. I have much research myself but am wondering if you could share what you have, if you have anything in addition. My connection is his son Gideon is my great x3, Gideon's son Jonas, my great x2 and his son Henry my great grandfather.
97182886 and 97182820 "If anyone knows how George and Jacob are related (brothers i am thinking?) Can you send excerpt or memorial #'s of parents. Thank you!"...... in response to this message on George's memorial I did a little "digging" while researching my Drey relations. I have not yet verified whether the two are in fact brothers but so far all research shows that they most likely ARE. I have been able to find Census and/or marriage records that show George's parents are Jonathan mem# 54280058 and Melinda(Gruber)Dry mem # 54280111. So far the only possible link I have come across for Jacob is a WWI registration card that lists his middle name as "Gruber" which is Melinda's maiden name. Now, with all of that information, I think it is a safe conclusion that Jacob and George are indeed brothers. ALSO, in my searching I discover that Henry Drey mem # 79366574 is also a son of Jonathan and Melinda (Gruber) Dry and his wife is Sallie A. (DeLong) Drey mem # 92436015 and their son is Lawson Merril Drey mem # 14448793. There is one more "verified" child of Jonathan and Melinda, as per a marriage application for Peter S Drey mem # 79367367 and Ellen C (Reppert) Drey mem # 79367387. The draft registration card for Jacob mentions a sister by the name of Katie Drey who lived in Norristown at that time but I have not been able to verify her as yet. I hope this helps you some ;-). To my knowledge they are not of my direct line but I figured since I came across them while researching my direct line, I would see what I could find.
Duplicate memorials Last week I sent you notices of about 25 memorials that you posted in the Salem Evangelical Cemetery in Berks Co. that are duplicates of ones that had been posted previously. They really should be deleted to prevent confusion.
Maria E. Shiffert Trapp In response to your comment about her name on the stone, I think it says "Wife of Harrison J. Trapp. A born Shiffert" and the r in born is kind of worn away. The cemetery records I have say that her maiden name is Shiffert, so I think it would make sense that way.
Incorrect Spelling of Last Name Could you correct the spelling of his and his wife's last name to Leibensperger. Levi's memorial # is 82816806 and Sarah's is 82816830. There is no such last name as Leibenspercer. Every record available in ancestry indicates Leibensperger. I know the tombstone font makes the G look like a C, but it is definitely a G. By the way, there are duplicate memorials out there for both of these (136190017, 136190397), but I suppose since yours were there first and you have the grave photos, once you make the last name corrections, we'll have to contact Jeff Braucher and merge the data. Thanks.
Permission to use photo Hello, May I please have your permission to use your photo of the gravestone for Dorsey and Minnie Kunkle Ellison on my ancestry.com family tree, with attribution to you and to Find a Grave? Your consideration is much appreciated. Thanks, Gwen
Neeld Family - Newtown Cemetery Have you ever come across any photos of these family members: James, Anna, Helen and Harry Neeld? I only have a few of my Grandfather, Harry. Would love to stumble across other photos of this family...Or know of someone that might have photos?
