I have changed the name. The only one I remember
declining of yours was to remove the "Mrs" and I declined because it was on her marker. Did you want all the info you sent put on the memorial.

Stephen Catchings - quite an interesting obit! I don't know the layout of Elmwood Cemetery, but it must be small. It is on my list for more research. Hopefully there will be a photo of the marker soon.

Thanks for the catch...I must have gotten my images mixed up and posted the wrong one. I have removed the one which I posted.

Unfortunately Elmwood is one of the cemeteries in Jackson with no records at all. There are not all that many markers in it, though, so somebody might be able to find the requested grave by simply walking around looking for it. (I'm guessing that there must be a good many unmarked graves, given the size of the cemetery and the paucity of markers.)

Hi John; Thanks for writing back and inquiring about the link between Jessie Williams and the infant. Mt Gilead cemetery has many of my ancestors buried there. families from the Williams, Ash, and Holcomb are buried there. Some of them are buried in unmark graves. Jessie Hunt Williams was married to my Grand uncle Daniel Williams JR. They were married on 8 Oct 1927 with the baby being born in late 1928 and dying in 1929. This is the son that is buried below her. Both Daniel and Jessie show up in the 1930 Census living in Columbus Georgia. There was no death certificate recorded for the son. After Jessie died My uncle remarried and moved to Detroit where he died in 1980. I have spoken with several members of the family who confirmed these facts.

Thanks

My pleasure! I'm glad you found more information about him. I will remove that photo so you will have more room. Thanks for letting me know!

Hey John,

This "bio" says "probably." There is no probably to it. This is where Thomas J Phillips, son of Elijah and Rebecca was buried. Please remove the "probably" from the description.
