Regarding St. Joseph/ Kessler Cemetery
I have been researching the Digenan name and believe there is a connection with the Scanlon family. Also believe the Thomas Scanlon tombstone gives important clues to the orgin of these families. However, cannot read the additional writing at the base of Thomas' tombstone.Want to know those words. :)

Mary Elizabeth's tombstone is listed as Digeman but the photo clearly shows Digenan.

Do you live nearby or do you have connections to the cemetery board with more information about these families?

My theory is that this Thomas Scanlon was the founder of St. Joseph's church back in 1846.
Thanks for your consideration in replying-Maureen
