Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy and poking into history for nearly 40 years now. My mom got me started when she became curious about where her ancestors came from in Germany and where my dad's ancestors came from in France. In the process of researching, I got hooked on genealogy and historical research.

RE: Harold Grimes
Hi Ardie,

I am not blood related but close. Harold's mother, Hazel Viola Fox, was the sister to my uncle's father, Frank Llewellyn Fox Sr.

Harold Grimes Jr. was my Uncle Bud's (Frank Llewellyn Fox Jr.) 1st cousin. My uncle was married to Hazel "Myreta" Bush, my mother's sister, Bonnie Ruth Bush. I lived with my uncle and aunt when I was very young and grew up with their children.

Thank you so much for the picture. Nan

RE: Coates in Hollywood
Hi Ardie! Hope you have been well...

I KNOW! I guess that I assumed he died in the military beings it had his rank on the stone! I have been going thru OLD OLD newspapers looking for "tidbits",stories, obits, etc to add to memorials for those that don't have access to getting the info themselves.....have come to find AMAZING things! I hope it helps them put "pieces" of their loved ones lives together a tad more. PS do you have access to Illinois records? LOOKING for a kia soldier from wwll that is buried overseas, but was from Illinois.....have tried myself but come up negative, and wondered if your "resources" get in Chicago are.....

HUGS
Genn

RE: Edna Pratt Waggener
Hi Ardie,

Edna's husband, Emery Waggener, was my 2x cousin 2x removed.

Here's Edna's obituary (source unidentified):

"Edna M. Pratt was born October 24, 1882, near Almena, Kansas and died February 6, 1918 at Brush, Colorado.

On December 25, 1906, she was married to E. E. Waggener of Long Island, Kansas, where they made their home until the spring of 1917, they moved to Wray, Colorado, in hopes of benefiting her health. All that loving hands could do was done for her comfort in the last few months of her life, but on February 6, she passed to her home beyond. She was a loving wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. She made many friends in her new home and their kindness in administering to her during her sickness will not be forgotten. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, two little daughters, Irene and Andra, her father W. M. Pratt, and her two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Roeder of Almena and Mrs. Jessie Tayor of Prosser, Washington.

She was laid to rest in Long Island Cemetery on February 8."

Hope this helps,

Scott
