Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi ! I'm Nate :) and I'm placing these Memorials on here for our Ancestor's so they are not forgotten about. It's only right to remember them. For without them we wouldn't be here today. We must not take our Ancestor's for granted. Most of the Memorial's that I added on here are for people who were related to me in one way or another. Plus these are on here for living Family Members to find and visit. And these Memorials will be here for future Generations to find also. Because I don't want all the years of Genealogy Research to end up being lost to history. I know other's are interested in this also. And I'm sure there will be someone who is trying to find out their roots. Part of the Family Tree is here. All information on Memorial's is taken straight from the Family Tree. Anybody interested in communicating with me, and any questions about the Family History please contact me. I'd be happy to hear from you. This Page was Updated on 3-24-2015 and the Memorials I now manage on here are for my Ancestor's, Family Members and Relatives of mine. For to see my Ancestry and possibly yours too please look to the right of screen and click on my Virtual Cemeteries.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Stephen Watt
It appears I may have confused this Stephen Watt with another one. On Ancestry I'm seeing that his parents were John and Mary Watt. John was born in the states.

The Stephen I am looking for had David as a father, born in Ireland and mother Mary Jackson born in New York. However, my Stephen was born in Pennsylvania as well. Eery how similar they are. He even looks like David Watt, who would be his brother.

Sorry for the confusion. Too bad, too. I was very excited to see the pictures. (Probably why I overlooked those details). :)

Stephen Watt
I love the picture you posted of Stephen Watt...and of his family. My husband is a direct descendant of Stephen's brother David Watt Jr. I have a picture posted of him on findagrave.com if you are interested. I would love to collaborate information and pictures. Do you have any more pictures of Stephen's siblings? I am also still looking for more information on his father David Watt Sr. I have hit a road block there.

Thanks,
Marci Watt

Towne Family
Yes it is very tragic what that poor family must have gone through. The sad thing too is, that some people thought it was the way the corn was canned at first. As a mother that must have felt horrible.
I love doing the research on my family. I think that it is great that we can still read the papers and stories from past gone by. When I read the stories, I feel like I am there living with them.
Thank you for all the work that you have been doing. You are doing a wonderful job helping bring these people to light. I also hope to be able to get to the cemetery as well.

Hope you Have a great day!!

RE: John Taylor, Robert Taylor, William Symington @ Leadhills Graveyard
hi Nate

i will have to return to the Leadhills cemetery a few times to record all the graves... next time i will be better equipped with a A-frame to photograph graves the same type as John and Roberts.
The church i spoke of has now closed due to being in a poor state of repair, the cemetery is about a quarter of a mile away from it.
I will take my larger camera next time to get more detail from the head stones... i was amazed at the amount of Moffat's buried there, nearly every forth stone had the name on it'
i will also go to the museum to get some shots of items that belonged to John/Robert and William for you

regards
derek

RE: Taylor request
you are very welcome Nate
Leadhills cemetery has a small claim to fame as it is possible it is the highest cemetery in Scotland, it being only a few hundred meters away from Wanlockhead the highest village in Scotland (it has no cemetery)
it may be a few weeks before i go there as work sends me in the opposite direction for now (its around a 30 minute drive for me)
Leadhills cemetery is in the grounds of a beautiful church (still used)
i will record as much as time permits while i am there and send you the results via your email

regards
Derek
