Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been involved in genealogy from an early age; my interest having been cultivated by my grandmother and uncle. I was raised in a family where you were expected to know your family history and taught its value and the importance of passing it on. To date, I've been at it for over 25-years and have met some wonderful cousins and friends along the way. This hobby is a labor of love and through discovery and contacts has brought my extended family closer together.

George Snell Family
Dear Grave Hound,

The photos you have added to Edgar Snellís memorial (20958865) indicates you may have some knowledge of the Snell family. I am grasping at straws here.

I am trying to find the burial cemetery for Edgarís brother, George Snell, who was married to Dorothy Jewson Snell until his untimely death. Members of the Jewson family say they are certain that George is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, but I can find no record with the VA, and the minister at the burial service says he does not know where the burial was except it was not at Jefferson Barracks. (The Find A Grave memorial for the time being states JBNC because of the information from the family.) For my people who have had not children, I make an extra effort to get the record complete, which is why I am reaching out to you. If you have any information, it would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Dan Hoffmann

Benjamin Rea #35903586
Grave Hound,
24 hours later, I re-read my message to you and realize the Rea Family is indeed driving me crazy.

I am in error. Benjamin was exactly the age to serve in the Civil War. I am hearing that he marched with Sherman.

There is a wonderful Rea Brothers photo that I want to share.

Please forgive my waste of your time.

Benjamin Rea #35903586
Dear Grave Hound,
I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out the Rea Family.

I am so hoping that you can help me, you are related to the family, or know members of the Rea Family.

The great news clipping you attached to memorial #35903586 seems in error. Because that Benjamin Rea was born 1840 and too young to serve in Civil War. So, there is another Benjamin Rea out there somewhere. Perhaps his name is Benjamin F. Rea.

I was raised in the Rea family community, but we didn't get out and about much.

Hoping that you can help me from going crazy trying to figure them all out.

His headstone is in Concord Cemetery, Sigsbee and you have him listed in Philadelphia. I'm confused.

Thelda DALLY BURGUM CORTAS MATTOX SMART
Thelda Smart was married to Dale Burgum around 1953. Dale and she had two children, Joey and Stephanie. I think they married in South Dakota.
