Hello fellow find-a-gravers,|
To request transfer, please do not post your request here in the comments section. I ask that all transfer requests be made through the official "suggest a correction" mechanism. Just go to the memorial, click "edit", then click the last option which lets you send a free form request. That sends me a link to the memorial, which helps ensure I process the correct one, and also sends me your member number so I don't have to go look it up. This saves me two or three steps, and helps me be accurate.
Excluding my own kin and special memorials, all of my memorials are up for grabs. If you are kin, you should have them imo. If no kin comes forward, then anyone who has a connection. Maybe you live next to the cemetery? Maybe you went to school with him/her? Maybe I have one of your old co-workers. You get it :) Just ask!
If you are also adopting out your memorials, I would happily adopt any of my main family surnames in the United States: Claussen, Crawford, Fox, Pennington, Petersen.
Thanks, and may God bless you immensely today!
This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on findagrave! LOL )

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you're correct. I've also seen several documents that say that John & Nellie McGriff were buried there, but I'm 99% sure that their stones aren't still intact (or legible). We searched the whole place pretty thoroughly.
Thanks for all the memorials you've added!

Deb, I think I found his son. I'm sending him a litter about the headstone. He is in his 70s so he may or may not be able to deal with the problem. But he has children that may take care of the placing of the stone. Thanks Vickie

This is my Dad's grave. I was surprised when I did a search on his name, just to see if anything would come up, and found this picture. I am not offended or anything, but just curious as to who took the picture and why? Do you guys just take pictures of all the graves and put them on here? I am thankful that it is here. He died when I was 13. He was only 39. We moved to a different state not long after, and I have not been able to go back and visit. I would very much like to post on his page all that I know about him. How can I go about doing that?

Deb I found a John M Gibbons military headstone in the Shawnee Cemetery, Find A Grave Memorial# 146891214. I think your John McIntosh Gibbons Find A Grave Memorial# 53067088, buried in Riverside Cemetery, is the same person. His death cert. shows him buried in Riverside Cemetery, but his military stone is in the Shawnee Cemetery. Do you know this family? Do you have anyway to contact his family members? This stone should be with his main headstone at Riverside. Thanks

Deb, I was wondering if you had any more details on Eleanor "Nellie" Phillips McGriff (Find A Grave Memorial# 18680043)? I couldn't find her headstone and the headstone photo on her page says "Stewart".
Do you have documentation that shows Eleanor and her husband (John) are buried there, but they don't have headstones?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this,
