Bio Photo I'm still working on my genealogy, I have been since I was 16 years old. Now that I'm 54 years old, I've had lots of practice looking up my German, English, Dutch, Irish, Welsh and Swiss ancestors, just to name a few... haw haw

Frances Webster Hopfer
She is the wife of Myron Hopfer and daughter of Merton & Rosa Amy Brown Webster. Do you happen to know where Merton & Rosa Amy Webster are buried

Hopfers
Unfortunately, our Harveys are not the owners of Harvey's Lake, but we do have friends that have a boat there!! I did use photoshop, but just to trim/crop the photos. . . . Hopefully I can find the rest of the Hopfers for you!!

RE: Thanks
No I don't have access to the records, but http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pasulliv/churches/PleasantHill.htm has a pretty complete listing of the burials there. Hughesville library has a book with more of the burials also. I haven't actually seen the hopfer plot, least ways don't remember seeing it; I have been thru the cemetery a couple times. I live about 40 minutes out 118, but I work in that way. I remember seeing quite a few Johnsons in the book.

RE: Thanks
You are Welcome. Any photos that you might take can be added to any memorial even if it isn't one of yours. If there are certain names you are looking for I can probably find out if they are buried there. I will transfer the Hopfers that I added. I will check and see if there are any more of them there. I will be adding Ocie here shortly.

Ocie
Ocie married Benjamin H Smith, he was my 2nd cousin a couple times removed. I haven't been able to connect Jesse Lee to the Hopfers yet.

RE: Jesse's tombstone
You should delete your memorial for him. The ealier one always takes precedence. I added more of the Hopfers to Hughesville. If you would like any of them transferred to you let me know. Ocie, was a girls name; not sure if it was a nickname; but I have more than a few Ocies on my tree.

RE: Jesse's tombstone
I already had Jesse listed in the cemetery, your memorial will be a duplicate. Is it possible Ocie was the spouse of Jesse? I am not sure but mat be able to find out.

RE: Peter Hopfer/Hoffer
Well...the only Peter Hoffer even remotely young enough to have served in the Civil War was born October 11, 1825. He lived in Lancaster County and if the served in the war he survived as the record lists a son born in 1867. Nothing about adoptions or anybody named Hopfer. My branch was long gone from Dutch Country by then.

RE: Peter Hopfer/Hoffer
I will look that up when I get home. My own branch ended up in southwestern Virginia shortly after the War of 1812 and fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War.
