Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. We collect, glassware, vintage jewelry, Cowboy Collectables, and dust. We love Flea Markets, Country Auctions, and long highway yard sales.

I started Find a Grave as a Photo Volunteer and decided that was too hard. I started photographing the entire cemetery, this way I could add them to the Computer at the Research Center and put them on Find a Grave also.

I walk the Cemeteries and take the photographs of the memorials I put on Find a Grave. I do not set at the computer and put memorials on in another state that I have no intention of putting a photograph on with it. I do not do this for the numbers, I do it to help others.

I will have to add to the above and say this winter I have been going through our county Cemetery Books and Creating new Cemeteries and making memorials for the ones buried in Family Cemeteries. It has been interesting to find them on Census records and connect them. I will try and locate the cemeteries and make a picture if I can. Sometimes the older family Cemeteries do not exist anymore. I did not want to add memorials that I could not add a picture. I decided that these people did not deserve to be forgotten, thus said here's hoping I can find a picture to add to the memorials. Keeping our County as up to date as possible.

I believe family should be with family. I make mistakes, I am human, just be nice when you let me know. It is not my intention to make duplicates, but names, initials, nicknames are not all known, and I gave up mind reading a few years ago. I try to correct, link or transfer as fast as I can. I do not believe it takes two months to type a few numbers.

If I add a photograph it is from the Funeral Home until I can add the gravestone marker. If I add the obituary it is from the Funeral Home or from the Daviess County Public Library, Owensboro Area Obituary Index database.

I look at the old monuments that have weathered many storms and mowers and wish they could tell of what lies beneath them. I feel that by photographing them now could be the last means of preserving them for our generation. Find a Grave is a wonderful site for sharing the photographs of family and discovering death and birth dates that might have been lost.

It is wonderful to meet and make friends with people I would otherwise never know. I love being able to help others in any way I can.

I believe in God, Family and Country. If this offends you, I am sorry. This is a short bio of me.

God Bless you and
God Bless the United States of America

RE: Union Hill Cemetery
I knew something was fishy about that cemetery, but I hadn't thought about it for several years. Glad you are fixing it! Another cemetery in McLean County that has always puzzled me is Poplar Grove. I have alot of relatives buried there, but it seems to go by different names. Good luck with that one!

Kathleen Dame
I transferred Kathleen's memorial to you. I don't need to manage all the memorials I create. I just do what I can so others might find their lost relative. I always take extra pictures of the family members in a cemetery plot and create memorials in case the family is looking for them. Now and then someone will write and tell me they had been looking for someone for which I had created the memorial. I'm always glad to transfer to family. It sounds like you keep busy doing similar things.

No problem, guess sometimes we will never know for sure as to where the final resting place is. If you send me corrections I may not get to them right away; I'm in so much pain right now don't really feel much like working on this. Will try to do corrections about once a week until things get better.
