I am a resident of Mt. Pleasant, NC and I have been photographing cemeteries in Cabarrus Co. almost exclusively for about 10+ years. When I photograph a cemetery I try and get the whole cemetery. If you would like a few photos for your research which do not have a watermark... just ask me and I'll email them to you.

Photos of the McManaways
Hi TMcManaway,

My husband is Minor McManaway's oldest son Chuck, and have a box of photos. My husband does not have a clue who half of the people are. He can recognize some...like Finley and his dad...etc. If someone can put names to them, I am happy to scan them...and share.

I deleted Infant Daughter Garmon as I saw it was a duplicate of one Susan Grills had already entered. I sent her an edit to add the mother as I had the daughter linked to the mother and she has the daughter linked to the father.
Thank you for the update and the great work you do.

Elsie Joyner

You are right. Elsie was John's second wife. She was married when she died in 1914. He was widowed when he died in 1915. His birth date is right but his death date is a year off. All her dates are different but there was no death certificate for a Joyner or Howell in Jan 1913. I left the correct dates on her site and added a note that the death certificate and headstone dates were different.
Thank you for the update and the picture.

RE: Hattie Mack Hegler Sloop #111466997
Hi,

I finally found Hattie's mother, Ida Elizabeth McCachren Hagler via a distant relative.

Could you update the spelling on this memorial to reflect the correct maiden name of McCachren.

Also, to add confusion the spelling on Ida's stone at RRPC has the spelling of Hegler as Haglar. After viewing all of the existing records it is difficult to discern the difference between an "e" and an "a" in some of the handwriting.

Then, if you read all of the information on Seaborn Hagler's memorial, you will find a huge variance in the spelling to include "Haylan". Should one assume that the most accurate spelling is derived from census data circa 1900 and 1910?

I would like to increase the accuracy of the info in this memorial in an attempt to remove as much confusion as possible to assist those conducting research in the future.

Thank you for your assistance,
jhl3
